You’re SO lucky that you’ve never had issues selecting the right shade at a drugstore :) I try a lot harder to ensure I make good purchases, too. I hate returning, lol, I’m so lazy!

They shouldn’t! Department stores have their own rules, which are generally “customer is always right.”

I actually liked CVS when I lived in SoCal, though. :[ But it’s too bad that you’ve hated working there (though I hated working retail anywhere myself!).

I hardly return products at all. If I do, they are unused – ie brand new in box. I don’t really buy anything unless I am happy with it to begin with. I have always asked for samples which I can use a couple of times before deciding whether to buy or not. And until now, I have never had an allergic reaction to a beauty product, so I have been happy with all my purchases so far.

Drugstore products can be difficult to select as there are no testers but I have been lucky to select the correct shade.

I wish I had known that :( it was only a few days later. But this is a MAC counter at a department store, maybe they have different rules :-(
sucks though…
