I will usually use at least 4-5 everyday, unless I am in a real time crunch I will settle for 2-3.

I try to use two which is one main color and then a highlite. but then I always end up using 3 so.... thats about it!

I typically use 2-3 during an average day. I have two boys (ages 7 and 4, work six days a week, and go to school 2 nights a week so not much time. On the weekends when I go out, I try to use 4-5.

Hey Christine, I've been lurking around your blog for a while and I think you are a very talented girl. Glad I found this blog. To answer your question, for me it's also about time. If I have more time I use more shadows. In general though I use 2-3 shadow for work, one wash of color for weekend and 5+ colors when i go out :D

I would say on average I use 2-3 colours for a look.. not that I don't have the ability to use more, but if I let myself get carried away it could take so long! I definitely use more if I'm going out at night or want a more dramatic look.

I will usually only use 2.... mainly due to time and secondary reason is because i'm just not adept at using multiple colors yet w/o it end up looking like a big muddled mess.....:)

For work - when i've rolled out of bed and realised that my lack of ability to function in the morning leaves me 5 minutes for make up, then 2 or 3. If I have half an hour or so before i'm going out at night I like to go a bit mad and use 5- 10, I like to feel that none of my eyeshadows get left out :)

I usually have about 10 minutes of extra time before I head out for school so it's usually one paint pot, and then one overall lid color then one color for the crease :)

I usually use 2 or 3 daily. its easier to use more when they are coming from a pallete bcuz then u dont have to open a bunch of shadows

If I am not pressed for time, I will use 3 or 4. That's about it. Sometimes I'll use a 5th as a smudged liner, I suppose.

2 when i'm pressed for time, and at least 4 when i have time to play.

I'd have to say it depends on how much time I have. I'm usually running late for work, so I stick with 2 or 3, but I give myself a ton of time when getting ready for a night out and can use up to 5 or so. It all depends!

I normnally use bout 3 colours and colours that are similar to one another.I hardly ever use just two colours and here n there ill use 4 or 5 colours.I guess it depends on how much time i have and how my mood is.With a 3 year old and 7 month old ur lucky if u can even put make up on.he he

Since I'm always in a time crunch I never use more than 3 eyeshadows. My eyeshadow collection is so small though, that even if I wanted to, I really couldn't use more than 4 at a time.

Usually I use 2 or 3 colors in the same color family. Any more than that and it just gets muddy and sloppy. I'm always amazed at people who can do looks where the colors are clear and have nice, clean, but not sharp, color transitions. I am so incapable of that, still practicing! Even if I can do it on one eye, I can't do it equally on both b/c my eyes are really asymmetrical and it totally messes me up. :|

i would have to agree that it depends on the mood im in or the amount of time i have . but i definitely like to use atleast 4. i like to be creative also. and i like color on the eye if i can pull it off. :)

It's really funny; it all depends on the mood I'm. Sometimes I will use just two colors and other times I become an artist with my face as a canvas. I love playing dress up =D Just this past weekend I played makeup artist with my dance troupe and let me tell you, I never had so much fun. I loved taking out all of my eyeshadows and pigments, having the opportunity of using it all (well, almost all =D)! With every dancer had a unique look that reflected their personality in their dance attire. I get to do it all again in May, wooo hoooo
