Of course, it’s my everyday look! I never chose my makeup based on the season or time of day.I think it is all what you would call a summer look or night time look.
Monday, January 14, 2008
You go, girl! ;) Rock those bright looks out! That was definitely my attitude for awhile!
Monday, January 14, 2008
Of course! The whole reason I love make up is because it’s fun :o)
I wear browns, greys and lilac for work but the rest of the time I much prefer looking like i’ve been punched in the face by a rainbow :D
Monday, January 14, 2008
:) LOL, “punched in the face by a rainbow” good stuff!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I love love bright colors they just make me feel beautiful
Monday, January 14, 2008
What’s your absolute favorite bright-eyed color combo?
Monday, January 14, 2008
i usually wear brights going shopping and if i’m wearing all black.
Monday, January 14, 2008
Awesome, Victoria! Do you have a favorite bright look?
Monday, January 14, 2008
I absolutely love it! I am a hairdresser so my job doesn’t interfere with my passion for dramatic makeup. Sometimes when I’m out, children will make funny comments or stare at me though!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I am sure the children are staring in WONDER, though :D
Monday, January 14, 2008
Sure, I feel comfortable wearing it, but just like a fancy shirt or uncomfortable sexy shoes, it had better be the right setting. It’s just as annoying being all dressed up with nowhere to go with nice makeup on as anything else.
Monday, January 14, 2008
That’s a great way to put it, Erin! I can see how that would ring true for many people. Sometimes I’d feel a touch out of place with full makeup and everybody else barely out of bed!
Monday, January 14, 2008
my jobs don’t limit me to what i wear for makeup (thankfully) so i will wear whatever i feel like that day…if it’s Acid Orange and Chrome yellow, fine…if it’s carbon and violet…sweet.
:)
Monday, January 14, 2008
Talk about bright, Acid Orange and Chrome Yellow, that’s traffic-stopping :D
Monday, January 14, 2008
It depends on the look, my mood & also where I am going. I usually have no problem with bright/bold eyes, its the bold lips that make me shy. *shrugs*
Monday, January 14, 2008
Isn’t it interesting how one can be comfortable with bold eyes but not bold lips (or vice versa)? I’m with you on the bold lips, though.
Monday, January 14, 2008
No. Hardly ever, anyways. And on most people I think it’s just…uhhh…ok, well, it’s just not my taste for daily wear. I think it’s really, really difficult to pull off.
Monday, January 14, 2008
I think it can be hard to pull if off if you’re not comfortable in it, that’s for sure. There’s always a way to pull off anything though, is my motto ;)
Monday, January 14, 2008
Absolutely. I’m more comfortable wearing a rainbow of colors on my eyes at once then I am in boring neutrals. As much as I pay for makeup, I want people to know I have some on.
Monday, January 14, 2008
Oh, wow! Haha, yes, sometimes you want to show off all the makeup you’ve sweated over!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I’m a therapist in an elementary school so I can’t really break out the bright colors everyday for work (maybe on Fridays). Although what’s classified as bright? I have Spring Up and another color from a spring collection last year that I wear all the time but I don’t consider that bright…although some would. But on the weekends and when I go out, heck yeah. I love my Electric Eel and the rest of my MAC brights.
Monday, January 14, 2008
I suppose not! ;) I know when I asked this question, I was definitely thinking more along the lines of Electric Eel!
Monday, January 14, 2008
it is definitely based on my mood. if im feeling sleepy and not so great, im going neutral. if im ready to take on the world, it’s bright teal baby!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I totally agree :D
Monday, January 14, 2008
I LOVE wearing bright colors! I don’t usually make them INSANE bright (like, caked on or anything) but I’d say about 80% of my makeup is bright colors! One of my favorite combos is the Steel Magnolias Shadow Duo by Too Faced. (lime sparkle metallic duotone/ pink foil) http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P4361&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=4225
Monday, January 14, 2008
Hey Mariah! Bright colors can be really fun, can’t they? Great duo by TF!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I love bright eyeshadow but wear it only if it matches what I wear and the rest of my make up. Since I love red lipstick, I tend to stick with gold/light copper/beige shadows with lots of black eyeliner. I wouldn’t use bright shades of purple or green eyeshadow with red lipstick – ever. But if I do wear a color like Twig, Touch, Revealing or Loyal, I would go for a really bright eyeshadow. But just one :) No rainbows for me!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I think I’ve only done a rainbow once or twice, and they’re just not my thing!
I also match it to what I’m wearing. Knowing your penchant for reds, I didn’t think you’d be spending too much time wearing the bright shadows!
Monday, January 14, 2008
No, not this girl. I love my neutrals and admire those who venture out with colors. I bought Neutral Pink last week – which was a big jump and I went out on Saturday with it on my lid… a bold choice for me and I really liked it!
Monday, January 14, 2008
Oh wow, well congrats on taking the plunge, Tuprnut! I’m glad you liked it, too :) Neutral Pink is really pretty!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I do not feel comfortable wearing bright colors. Mostly because I “need” to wear a rather heavy layer of foundation due to my acne scars and current acne. Combine that with my age – 34 and I just feel like I look clownish when wearing bright colors. I would love to wear bright colors, but I just feel like it dates me by adding years to my age. Combined with my need for foundation I feel like it looks like I have a ton of make-up on. With natural colors I feel like I look younger.
Monday, January 14, 2008
What do you find best covers acne scars? I have a few, but I have yet to find something that really works for me.
I can definitely see that moving into different phases of your life, like your 30s, can make brights have less appeal, too.
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Actually I havent really found anything that works well, sorry.
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
If you do, you have to let me know! :)
Monday, January 14, 2008
i love wearing bright colors… i really don’t care i just do. i just love being vibrant and well i just love it. (:
Monday, January 14, 2008
lol, love your attitude, Denise :D
Monday, January 14, 2008
Oh heck yes. Bright eyeshadow is pretty much the love of my life. I mean, I still enjoy neutrals and I thought the N collection was pretty. But sometimes, I don’t want to be “pretty,” I want to be fierce! And if that means looking like Rainbow Brite did my makeup, then so be it.
Monday, January 14, 2008
lol, Courtney!! Rock on :)
Monday, January 14, 2008
I wear brights wherever, whatever time of day, but only if I am in a bright kind of mood. There are so many options and beautiful colours that you don’t have to be bright every day! Although I do feel more comfortable with bright shadow.. lips scare me for some reason. I just got Rozz Revival and it’s the brightest lip colour I’ve ever owned! But I’m going to pluck up the courage to wear it to work soon :)
Monday, January 14, 2008
I agree that sometimes it’s all about the mood you’re in, too :) Good luck wearing Rozz Revival – I know it’ll look fun! And hey, you can always temper it with a lipglass if it’s too much at first!
Monday, January 14, 2008
i love vibrant blues in particular, but sometimes feel like they are too flashy to leave the house at 7 AM to go to school with. my boyfriend also often says that i look better without makeup and asks “why am i always wearing bright eyeshadow” but he may never accept that i am a MAC addict and that will not be changing lol
Monday, January 14, 2008
I think most boyfriends say that, which is good in the end :) What’s your favorite blue combo?
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Moons Reflection on lid, Honesty in crease (or whatever darker color i feel like using), and Phloof as a highlighter. simple but still makes eyes pop
Thursday, January 17, 2008
Very pretty! :)
Monday, January 14, 2008
TUPRNUT! How funny! Neutral pink is a bold move for me because it’s so tame. We have the whole spectrum, here.
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
It’s great to see such diversity amongst the readers, too!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I feel comfortable wearing bright colors, although it really depends on the occasion/location. Usually it ends up being ONE bright color (instead of 5) either as a wash, or on the outer corner, or in the form of eyeliner. My favorite colors are MAC Swimming and MAC fluidline in Blue Peep (but not together).
However, in high school (10 years ago I was a sophomore! Yikes!), I wore whatever color combinations I liked!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Ohh, but Swimming and Blue Peep are SO pretty together ;P
But yes, I can definitely see what you mean! I like that you’re still rockin’ brights though!
Monday, January 14, 2008
Sure I do, I love my Electric Eel to death!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
That is one of my favorites just because the pay off is excellent!
Monday, January 14, 2008
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If I’m having a good self-esteem day, I don’t mind going out in bright colours. :P But there’s a time and a place. I don’t wear anything too bright to work because I’m in an office. It’s not corporate but it’s semi-conservative. A rainbow of colours would look silly with my dress clothes. :P I’m definitely more likely to wear bright colours on weekends though, and I prefer a punch of bright colour instead of a totally bright eye. :) As much as I love that “punched in the face by a rainbow look” (good description, Chica!), I can’t always pull it off. People like Leesha are veeeeery lucky and CAN pull off brights any time, any place!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Totally agree that there can be a time and place! I would feel completely awkward with bright blues and yellows at an office!
Monday, January 14, 2008
I work at a preschool, so most days I have to keep it to a minimum, but there are always special days where I can go nuts. We have themes like circus and jungle, and castles, and on those days I go go extra wild with my makeup.
And of course, it just wouldn’t be right for me to show up to watch my men in teal play hockey without donning bright teal eye makeup myself, now would it? I need to remember to take pics next time we make it to then playoffs, then I get to go extra nuts!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Ohh, I like that you play up the makeup on theme days :) It seems like that’s not just fun, but extra fun since you can try to fit it in and get inspired by the theme.
Love it when ladies match their makeup to their favorite sports teams!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
I love bright eye shadows but I’m too scared to walk out of the house with them on :( I did a nice Aquadisiac and Cornflower look the other day but wiped it off and instead wore a neutral eye look.
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Aww!! You should go out and ROCK that look, Julie!
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
i love wearing bright colored eyeshadow! I wear it everyday…for me it doesnt matter whether its morning or night.
Thursday, January 17, 2008
That’s awesome, Ash!
Friday, January 18, 2008
Oh I don’t think I could carry it off! Maybe at nights, when we go out, but usually I stick to non-rainbow shades.
Friday, January 18, 2008
That’s still cool :) Sometimes it’s not appropriate for day anyway!
Monday, January 19, 2009
Yep, I do wear them.
