Do you ever finish your lipstick/lipgloss? If so, how long does it take? If not, what’s your guess as to why?
.
Rarely. I couldn’t tell you that I’ve ever finished a gloss, actually! I know why – because I have too many!
.
I've never finished a lipstick, but I LOOOOVE Mango Sorbetto by a brand I forget the name of...I bought two online and went through them within a few months.
I've finished quite a few dazzleglasses, probably about 3-4 this year, with about 3 more that are nearly finished. I've got two of the glosses from last years monogram collection that are nearly done with, and i've nearly finished a love nectar. I had to B2M my purple gloss from the hello kitty collection because it developed a really chemically smell.
I finish lipglosses maybe every 4-6 months. They are so easy to apply and most of the colors I wear are fool proof and don't require a mirror for application. I can slap them on as I run out the door or stand at the bus stop, so there is always at least one tube of gloss in my coat pocket! My MAC glosses are my go-to colors, so I finish those the fastest.
I've got a few more squeezes left in one and I hope I don't lose it before I finish it, just so I can truly say I finished one.
There have been a couple of lip glosses that I have used to the point where I couldn't figure out how to get the rest of the product out of the container (annoying). Other than that, I have had to get rid of some lipsticks and lip glosses that went weird after several years, tho I would have kept them if they had not. Like so many others have said here, I have so many of both lipsticks and lip glosses, plus lip balms, that I can't imagine ever using them all up. And yet I keep buying more...
I totally annihilate my lipglosses! I run them dry. Lipsticks take slightly longer since I wear them infrequently, but the only lipsticks I have ultimately not finished have been super dark/bright colors that I wear once and ditch.
Hm. I find that they start smelling plasticky after about 3/4 of the way down the tube. So I usually toss them when that happens.
I have finished 5 lipglosses this year and I have 16 more to go. I just finished my simply delicious lipglass today.
nope, i never finish any lipsticks or lip glosses. because i have so many and i keep buying more and more!!!! In fact, the only makeup i've ever finish was my powder foundation. Other than that never once have i finish any of them....
I am half way through Nymphette - I almost wear that everyday. I have over 30+ lipsticks, and over 30+ lipglosses so I don't think i'll ever run out. Besides, when I find something I like, I tend to use it less so I don't run out.. sorta like saving it for special occassions... but then I end up falling in love with everything else and forget about it.
Nope... never! But I'm actually kind of scared of finishing up Mimmy l/g and Mimmy l/s both from Hello Kitty. The two are perfect together... D: I don't ever want to run out of those!
I have finished plenty of lipglosses. Not lipstick although I am almost finished with Jubliee from MAC since it is my favorite nude lip. I have gone through a few lip glosses by MAC and just recently found out about Back To MAC and bummed since I threw the tubes away. I acutally have a sample lipgloss from Prescriptives that I am just about done with. There is a little bit of product and I have been manuvering the wand to get it out. So yeah, don't like to waste.
I have never ran out of a lipstick or gloss usually they may get old or I might end up hating the color/product and dump it.
I have almost finished a couple of lip glosses... they're pretty darn close to gone. I used one balm so much that the tube broke and I have to throw it away--does that count? haha
my NARS Canaille is down to the nub! It's my favorite safe at work neutral color that doesn't dry out my lips - I'm also running out of my Sweet Revenge gloss since I usually wear that on top. I'm pretty proud of myself to getting full use out of these products considering how pricey they are! However, It's not difficult for me to go through a tube of my kiehl's lip balm!
I have never finished a lipstick or lipgloss because I buy too many. I have plenty of both from MAC and I am trying to be good and not buy much until I actually start using them up.
i have finished about three this year, including my favorite "boy bait" from mac. i have three back ups!
I have only finished one lipstick and thats Hue from MAC, I wear it everyday. Im actually on my third one but other than that I haven't, I need to wear more from my collection because they just sit there and I have too many. As for glosses, I dont think I have ever finished one..
Not yet, but I go through a tube of Chapstick roughly every month or so ;) My first MAC lipgloss was Mimmy from the HK collection, and I promptly became obsessed and used up about half of it in 2-3 months, but I've barely touched it because I've accumulated so many others since then!
I have been wearing makeup for a long time so I think I probably finished in between 8-10 lipglosses. I finished a couple of MAC Wonderstrucks and Prescriptives Supernova, Planetary and Auora along with Tony and Tina in Prophetess and one Rimmel lipgloss. If it is a colour I love and wear all the time it would take only 3-4 months. I finished my first MAC Wonderstruck lipgloss within that time frame; however, nowadays I have a lot more selection so it would take about 1-2 years before I finish a lipgloss. I am almost finished with MAC Palatial lipgloss though.
I have finished a few lipsticks in the past, plus several of the clear balms that come with the Lipfinity longlasting lipsticks, but lately I haven't finished any since I've got so many lipsticks and glosses, I could probably use a different one every day of the year (not exaggerating at all!). I have thrown a few out due to turning a bit gross, but even that wasn't many.
I've finished lipsticks before, but never a lipgloss. For sure I've finished at least tow Sweetie's and a couple of tubes of my favorite lipstick in highschool (I think it was Taupe).
yes. Back when I only owned like two. hahah. I have a lot of half empty ones. I've been good at mixing up what I use.
I've finished *one* color lip product that I can remember - one of the Neutrogena MoistureShine sheer lipstick/glosses. I was working like a madwoman and had no money to speak of at the time, and it was one of the glosses I carried in my lab coat pocket at the hospital. I remember the day I tried to twist it up and saw the plastic base poking out. I've also completely used up a number of balms, mostly Softlips when those used to work for me (now they don't seem to help the flaking like they used to, I wonder if they changed the formula). I own so many lipsticks and glosses that it's hard to imagine using one up now, although I do try to rotate and give them all a chance.
I'm never able to finish because I have too many. I had a "Sweetie" that I came close to finishing, but then I lost it.
I have finished about 5 or 6 lipglosses. I used to wear MAC Oh Baby all of the time. I've finished lipsticks too, but I don't tend to do that anymore. I'm rotating through about 5 of them right now. I'm almost done MAC Cherish, my guess would be I'd be done in the next 2 weeks.
I finish glosses within a year, usually. I owned my first two lipsticks this year so I ought to know how many months before I can finish one.
never finished a gloss, not becuase i have too many, but i am not really a fan of gloss on my lips... and i dont own lipsticks, lol.
Yes the ones I use the most. I am on my second tube of Angel and Creme Cup lipstick. I'm also close to finishing my Virgin Kiss lipglass.
I have RARELY finshed a lipstick or gloss in my life. I can only remember 3 lipsticks and some very small glosses. :)
When I like a lipstick/lipgloss I try not to use it a ton, so it will last a long time, especially if it is pricey or no longer available in that color. However the funny thing is, I end up not using much of it or half of it and then putting it aside for some other color . I had four Chanel Glossmiers I loved and used not that often. I had them for a couple of years , because while I used them I couldn't throw them away till about a month ago. I know it sounds lame, but well... So now I'm trying to just use my stuff how I want , because otherwise it will be more of a waste. I think the last lipstick color I used for about 5 years was Dior Rouge Lipstick in a deep fuchsia shade. I went through four or five tubes during that time. Used it long enough to see them package it differently twice and change the color variation once.
I have too many lip products for me to ever use one all the way up. Boredom inevitably kicks in and I end up using a different colour. That said, I nearly used up a lipglass once...
I've finished a promo size Smashbox Lip enhancing Gloss in the color Hype... probably took me about 6 months of almost everyday wear. I've never finished anything else although I am almost out of Crystal Rose lipglass which I've had for about a year.
Well, I do finish a lipstick or gloss, but it's taking me years to finish them up, since I have over 60 lipsticks and glosses with at least a new edition to my stash every 6 weeks or so. I still haven't even finished my first MAC lipglass (Spite), that I bought back in 2002, go figure !! :)
Yes, I finish them all the time. Especially lip glosses. It probably takes a couple of months. I figure I go through them quickly because I sit at a desk all day and am re-applying quite a bit.
I like the last question... Anyway, I actually finish lip gloss all the time because my lips dry very easily and glosses (especially thick ones) works much better taking care/alleviate the pain compared to lip balm. Another reason is that some lip gloss contain very little content (like Stila lip glaze and bobbi browm lip gloss)so it would be a breeze to finish them. But then again, I think I just like to load those on considered I finished a few tubes of Juicy tubes as well, and those monsters are big.
