Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette ($4.99 for 0.30 oz.) is an earth-toned palette that features eight eyeshadows.

Column One

• The Browbone is a warm beige with a soft, frosted finish. It is a little less beige compared to MAC Ricepaper.
• The Eyelid is a rosy copper with a frost finish. It is similar in color but darker than MAC Jest.
• The Crease is a warm, medium-dark golden brown with a pearly sheen. It is a touch lighter than MAC Soba.
• The Definer is a dark, burgundy and copper shimmered brown with subtle red undertones. It is very similar to MAC Smut.

Column Two

• The Browbone is a pale, dirty gray-pewter with a white, frosted sheen. Urban Decay Ruthless is a touch warmer but similar. Inglot #350 is a little grayer and has more of matte finish.
• The Eyelid is a subdued, springy green with a golden sheen. It is more subdued with less yellow tones than MAC Juxt.
• The Crease is a charcoal brown with a pearly sheen. Milani Melange is similar but has a more shimmered appearance.
• The Definer is a red-brown with a teal duochrome and frosted finish. It is similar to MAC Club and Urban Decay Lounge.

The color payoff was excellent across the board with the exception of two shades–the green shade in column two was still good but a little sheer, while the smoky brown in column two was a little sheer as well. The latter shade also felt dry and stiff, so it wasn’t as easy to blend out as many of the other shades.  Texture on these was also nice, other than the exception mentioned–soft, smooth, and blendable.

Sometimes I have issues with the wear of Wet ‘n’ Wild’s eyeshadows (typically, nothing too concerning, though), but this palette wore really well without fading or having residual fall out at the end of the day.

	I can see why this palette has been sold out at all the local retailers near me since it came out (I was only able to snag one because they're now available online). It has good color payoff across the board, nice textures to work with, and good wear.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette ($4.99 for 0.30 oz.) contains eight eyeshadows spread over two columns. Each column seems to coordinate within itself more than the two columns do with each other. The tone of the palette is rather cool, with the first column being purple themed and the second column being more earth-toned.

The first column consisted of a pale, icy violet shimmered satin white; muted pink-lilac base with pale gold shimmer-sheen; darkened red-toned purple with a frost finish; and medium-dark violet-blue purple with silver sparkle. I found the pigmentation to be a little sheer in both of the lighter shades–a little dusty, too; not nearly as saturated as the two darker purples.

The second column includes a pale, high-frost pink-white; coppery rose mauve with red undertones in a soft frost finish; blackened burgundy brown with a satin finish; and a grayish black with subtle green sparkle and satin finish. The pale pink is extremely pigmented and smooth, while the copper rose shade is a bit sheerer and blends into a very sheer shade when applied. I found the burgundy shade to lean much browner when swatched than it looked in the pan. The darker grayish-black was more pigmented than previous variations I’ve seen in the Color Icon palette, which was nice, but it did fade a bit when worn (after six hours).

my thoughts on the formula: Color Icon Eyeshadows are definitely some of the best eyeshadows you’ll find in the drugstore, and this palette shows both the best and worsts of the formula overall. The frostier shades seem to work the best and have no problem wearing all day (over a base, of course), while the more matte shades tend to lack in pigmentation and fade after a few hours (they don’t disappear, but they do fade noticeably).

	For cooler complexions, I think this palette will work well.  Like the Blue had Me at Hello palette, there were a few shades that didn't quite hit the mark, but overall several shades worked really well.  I though the coppered rose shade was particularly beautiful in color and wished it had been more pigmented.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Blue had Me at Hello Eyeshadow Palette

Wet ‘n’ Wild Blue had Me at Hello Eyeshadow Palette ($4.99 for 0.30 oz.) includes eight different eyeshadows, and in all honetsy, they almost seem more like two four-pan palettes stuck together. All eight shades coordinate and complement each other, but the quality of the second column is significantly superior compared to the first column. The one thing I have noticed with Wet ‘n’ Wild’s Color Icon eyeshadows is that their frosts are done well, but the more matte the shade is, the lesser the quality is, both in pigmentation and in wear.

The first column includes a semi-sheer, silvered white with a frosted finish, medium silvered gray with a frost finish; semi-matte dark black with blue sparkle, and matte black. The black with blue sparkle shade is a little sheer in the black color base, and the blue sparkles either disappear by the time one applies or leave a little fall out beneath the eye–the effect of the blue sparkle just doesn’t come through very much (the best thing to do would be to layer over a sticky base and reall pack it on, and then you might get a better result). The matte black shade is a bit chalky and stiff, making it rather unpigmented when swatched. I hoped that it would perform better in practice, but it didn’t get nearly as intense applied as it looks in the pan–but more frustrating was that it seemed to fade after a few hours.

The second column consists of a pale, icy blue with a frosted finish, aqua-teal with a golden sheen and frosted finish, rich midnight navy blue with a softened frost finish, and semi-matte black with soft silver sparkle. With these four, I only had issues with the matte black with silver sparkle shade, which took some layering to get the intensity level to match the color in the pan. Like the black with blue sparkle in the first column, the silver sparkle doesn’t translate much when used, so it ends up being more of a semi-matte/matte black. It is more pigmented than the matte black shade in the first column, though. Unfortunately, it, too, suffers from some fading after three to four hours of wear. The other three shades are fantastic, with really soft, smooth texture and rich color pay off. The aqua-teal is absolutely gorgeous–very much to the tune of MAC Parrot but lighter and brighter.

It is disappointing that four of eight shades have some problems, with two having issues with fading. If you do normally buy higher-end, I do think the quality of the second column makes the palette well worth the price tag, but if your budget is tight, you may find yourself at odds with the palette overall. If these were split in two, I would have given quality scores of 21/30 and 28/30 respectively. As I do with palettes, I individually assessed each shade, added them up, then divided by eight to get an average quality score, which was around 26/30.

	The second column is so much better, and it pains me that the first column brings down the overall score for the palette because of its shortcomings. Whether you spend $5 or 50, your budget is yours, and your money should be well spent.
