Step Into My Shoes – Body Acne and a Wedding, Oh My!

SCENARIO: I have a wedding I have to go to in about two months. The dress I bought is low cut in the front and the back is almost completely open (just a few straps going across). Of course, after I bought the dress my back and chest have decided to break out like mad and now I’m at war with them. What can I do to get my back and chest to stop breaking out and clear up before the wedding? Are there any good products for this or regimens I can follow?

Step Into My Shoes – Give Me Color, But Subtle?

SCENARIO: I would like to know any suggestions, ideas or help for wearing brighter eyeshadow colors during the day…so in a more subtle way. I am trying to get outside my comfort zone and be more adventurous with brighter colors, but I simply am not sure how to make purple, blue or even pinks look subtle enough to wear during the day.

Step Into My Shoes – Acne and Battle Scars!

SCENARIO: When I get pimples/acne, it’s cystic acne that inevitably causes pigmentation and scarring no matter how fast I catch it. What are some skin care products that prevent acne but don’t dry out the skin? I have oily skin and would take recommendations on regimen too. Right now, in the morning, I use cleanser, toner, philosophy’s vitamin C powder mixed with their firming and lifting serum, and a sunscreen. At night, I use cleanser, toner, and a philosophy’s night cream. What are some products that are good at fading pigmentation and acne scars?

Step Into My Shoes – 24-Hours and Counting!

SCENARIO: In a week I will visit my a love interest in Australia. Since I live in Europe this will involve two long-haul flights. From experience I know that I won’t look stellar upon landing. I would like to be the most glowing version of myself and blow him away, without applying masks every five minutes on the plane. We have a strict liquids rule, so can’t bring any big packages. Do you have advice on achieving a radiant look (hair and skin) after traveling for over 24 hours?

Step Into My Shoes – I want to get into fashion!

SCENARIO: I am about to graduate with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising this March.  Unfortunately, I have been unable to utilize my school’s career center, because they do not have any jobs related to my field (or even art!).  The fashion department at my school is incredibly small, and there are less than four teachers available.  Do you have any tips on how to break into the fashion business?  I live and reside in Los Angeles, and I know it’s hard to land a good job in fashion, but I would appreciate any advice!
