Urban Decay 5150 Lipstick

The Summer Season: Urban Decay 5150 Lipstick

Urban Decay 5150 Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a reddish-coral with an orange edge and lots of shimmer. It’s nearly opaque and finishes with a glossy sheen. Even though it’s described as a coral, it reads quite redder than coral on my lips, but it’s a nice, juicy shade of orange-red that works for the summer season (and doesn’t strike me as a holiday red so much). Urban Decay’s lipsticks are always creamy and moisturizing, though they only wear about three hours on me and have a burnt sugar scent that I know is a turn-off for some (I don’t notice it once I apply it).

Is this the right coral lipstick for you? Would you wear it?

Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick
Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick

The Spring Season: Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick

Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.13 oz.) is an icy champagne shimmered yellow pink. When I swatched it on my arm, it had a glossy look to it, but on my lips, it looked less glossy and more shimmery/frosty. Peroxide is a semi-opaque shade that lightens up my natural lip color while giving it more of a soft rose look and feel. Surprisingly, with a name like Peroxide, it’s quite wearable. It’s lightened but not so light that it’s hard to pull off. Urban Decay lipsticks have a creme brulee-ish scent (kind of a sweetened, kind of burnt–but not in a bad way–smell), and I didn’t taste anything off with this shade.

Urban Decay Indecent Lipstick

The Spring Season: Urban Decay Indecent Lipstick

Urban Decay Lipstick Indecent ($22.00) is a semi-sheer, ultra glossy/shiny softened orange-coral with subtle champagne-gold shimmer. It’s so sheer and glossy that it almost looks more like a thin gloss than a lipstick. Urban Decay lipsticks have kind of a burnt caramel sugar scent and they don’t taste like much to me, though some with more refined tastebuds have noted it has an off-taste. They are moisturizing and last about four hours on my lips, though sheerer shades like Indecent seem to wear off a little faster than more opaque or heavier shades do!

More Urban Decay Lipstick fun!
