Urban Decay Snatch Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “pale peach shimmer with gold glitter.” It’s a warm-toned, peachy-pink with gold glitter and a frosted finish. Flower Beauty Foxy Browns #1 is lighter and less frosted. Le Metier de Beaute Nouvelle is slightly less pink and has no glitter. Urban Decay Scratch is a touch warmer, slightly darker.

There are a lot of things to love about Snatch, but long-time readers likely know that the micro-glitter is the one aspect of this eyeshadow that brings it down a notch.  I love glitter, but it has to stick if it’s going to be put into a product like this.  Or else the brand needs to fess up and tell us it needs to be used with XYZ product to make the glitter stay put (rather than saying it won’t fall out on its own).  The little glittery bits in this eyeshadow do fall out both during application and later on during wear.  It’s not full of glitter, so it’s a more manageable quantity, and it’s slight enough that I’d still wear this eyeshadow and not worry much over it.  It is, though, annoying.  The underlying color is rich in color, buttery and smooth in texture.  It applies smoothly, evenly, and stays on for the nine hours I tested it without fading or creasing.

Urban Decay Peace Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “bright turquoise shimmer.” It’s a brightened, medium sky blue with a pearly sheen. This kind of blue makes me think of a “warm” blue but it’s still not warm-toned–but it’s almost as if this is the closest blue can be to being warm. Sugarpill Afterparty is darker and less shimmery. UIrban Decay Unhinged is darker, cooler-toned. Make Up For Ever #25 is lighter, more silver-ish. Maybelline Tenacious Teal is slightly darker. MAC Blue Candy is bluer and more matte. Urban Decay Clash is brighter and has slight sparkle. theBalm Great Gonzo is very similar.

Peace is fantastic!  It’s richly pigmented with true-to-pan color.  The texture is soft, buttery, and dense, so it feels like silk and glides on like butter.  The color is easy to blend and apply, and there were no issues with fall out or fading during wear.  It lasted a full nine hours when I tested it without fading or creasing.   It’s been really fun discovering more of Urban Decay’s permanent range, because it reminds me of why Urban Decay eyeshadows are so popular.

I really wish Urban Decay sold just pans of their eyeshadows. As I was getting the official color description to write the review, I kept thinking, “People would own so many more of these if they were sold as pans for like $13.” I also think more brands need to discount if you buy in bulk; like if you bought five or ten at once!

Urban Decay Bender Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “forest green metallic with gold micro-glitter.” It’s a darkened, forest green with subtle yellow-olive undertones and cool-toned, forest green and khaki shimmer. It can also be found in the (somewhat) recently released Book of Shadows Vol. 4. Sugarpill Junebug is more metallic. L’Oreal Golden Emerald is warmer, more frosted. OCC Poison is cooler-toned, darker. MAC Humid is warmer. Make Up For Ever #310 is more frosted. Inglot #418 is greener, lighter.

Bender is incredibly rich in color–it has amazing color payoff.  The texture is soft, smooth, and buttery, which helps it yield so much pigment in a single swipe, but it also helps with making this a cinch to blend.  It just applies so well, blends easily, and goes on with true-to-pan color.  Bender has all the characteristics that made Urban Decay’s eyeshadows famous.  When I wore it, the shade lasted nine hours without creasing or fading.

Urban Decay Laced Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “pinky-taupe matte.” It’s a pinky beige with mostly neutral undertones and a matte finish. You may already have this shade if you have the Vice palette. Inglot #344 is several shades darker. MAC Bloom On is slightly lighter and pinker. Bobbi Brown Dusty Lilac is darker.

Laced was one of my favorite shades from the Vice palette, because it’s not a shade that I have half a dozen similar shades of, and it’s a very versatile neutral.  How it might be used depends on your skin tone and what you pair it with, but it can be used as an all-over lid shade to even out the tone, to mattify any frost, to help in blending out another shade, as a highlighter, or as a softly defined crease for those with really pale complexions.  The texture was soft, finely-milled, and smooth–not at all powdery–and easy to blend and apply. The color payoff is true-to-pan, and it’s fully pigmented.  I wore alongside Easy Baked and Desperation, and it lasted a full nine hours without fading or creasing.

Urban Decay Desperation Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “grayish taupe brown matte-satin.” It’s a darkened gray with brown undertones and a dusting of teal micro-shimmer with satin finish. This shade was in the Vice palette, but this seemed to apply a bit darker. Wet ‘n’ Wild Desert Festival #5 is slightly browner. Benefit Holy Smokes is similar in color but a cream product. bareMinerals Undercover is lighter. MAC Nebula is a touch browner. MAC Keep Your Cool is browner. Urban Decay Pistol is warmer, lighter.

At first glance, it appears to have a satin finish, but the more it is blended out, the more matte the finish becomes. The sheen of the slight pearl included in it is very, very subtle. I was thrown by Urban Decay’s “matte-satin” description initially, but it really does make sense. The texture of this shade was slightly dry, so it tends to apply better with a fluffier brush and with light, feathery strokes.  Desperation had good color payoff, and it was buildable to mostly opaque color on the lid.  It’s good, just not perfect; the slightly drier texture made the payoff less intense and not as easily blended as the best of Urban Decay’s eyeshadows.

Urban Decay Easy Baked Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “light bronze shimmer.” It’s a warm-toned, golden copper with a frosted finish. Urban Decay Moonflower is a smidgen more orange/brown. Jasmine Cosmic is more metallic. Urban Decay Penny Lane is very similar–slight more orange. theBalm Mischievous Marissa is comparable. Urban Decay Half Baked is a touch darker, more golden.

The texture is lovely: buttery, creamy, and dense, which yielded rich, opaque color coverage and so little product required to achieve that kind of result. It smooths out beautifully on the lid and blends out easily.  Easy Baked feels like the very best of the brand’s formula; not so soft that it turns powdery (or crumbly) but soft enough that it just works well and sits nicely on the skin with excellent pigmentation.  I wore it yesterday, and it lasted for nine hours without fading or creasing.
