Solid longevity for base products, cheek colors, liners, eyeshadows, etc. is about eight hours — it should look good for most of those eight hours and then start fading/going downhill. For lip products, it would depend on the type, but four to five for traditional lipstick and three to four hours for gloss.

I tend to like medium coverage or greater in most products, though perhaps things like tinted moisturizer and translucent setting powders would have a place in my routine. I don’t think I’d really opt for clear gloss or barely-there gloss myself. I like cheek colors and base products that are more medium to semi-opaque, buildable.

I like my eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lip liner to be pretty opaque. I don’t mind if I have to maybe add a little more, and it doesn’t have to be “barely touch your brush in it” pigmented. I like a fair amount of coverage in my lipstick, and my gloss can vary from medium to opaque since I like layering gloss over lipstick sometimes.
