Do you prefer using a separate sunscreen product or want it included in your moisturizer/foundation? Why do you go one way or the other?
I prefer it in my moisturizer over anything else, just because I feel like I get great coverage with a moisturizer vs. a foundation. I do also have separate sunscreen-only products, because when I know I’ll be out in strong sun all day (e.g. playing tennis), I’ll opt for stronger SPF.
P.S. – How is everyone’s weekend going? What did/will you do?
What do you look for in a perfect foundation? Have you found the perfect one? Come close? Share your recommendations and how they measure up against your requirements!
Studio Fix Fluid is the closest I’ve come. For me, I need a light-to-medium foundation that has a matte finish that doesn’t look powdery/cakey. It should be relatively sweat proof and have SPF 15 in it.
Are you a fan of mineral makeup? If so, what are your favorite brands? If not, why not?
I’ve tried it with minimal success thus far, so I’m hoping you will all share with me some great ideas!
Have you ever used an eyeshadow as a blush? If you did, what did you use? Did it turn out well?
I definitely have! I’ve used some iridescent kind of shadows, like say Nanogold, on cheeks to highlight, or even Da Bling for a light pink blush!
Would you ever pay more than $100 for a skin cream? If you found a skin cream that worked well for you (obviously you wouldn’t spend $100 for something that didn’t work!), would you dole out the cash for it? Would you succumb to pricey creams if they worked for you? What would a $100+ cream need to do for you in order to buy it?
For me, I want visible signs of SOMETHING GOOD, whether that’s increased luminosity, skin health, reduced acne, etc. Since I’m not exactly aging very much, it’s hard for me to really tell when a cream hits home on the anti-aging, wrinkle-reduction/prevention front, but if I could see it? That’d be GOLDEN!
Do you ask yourself questions before you buy something? Do you ask, “Will I wear this often?” or “Do I have anything similar?” What do you ask yourself when you consider a product for purchase?
I think about how often I will use it, whether it will work with products I already have (undoubtedly, this is usually a yes), how many similar colors do I have, do I really need it, and do I really want to pay that much?
