I personally prefer cream eyeshadows that will set on their own – I don’t mind one that is better used as a base, but in a perfect world, it would set on its own and last all day long without creasing or fading. It would be blendable without drying down too quickly (or staying wet for too long). Medium color opacity would be lovely with buildable color to full color opaqueness.

Can you see a theme in this week’s questions? 🙂 I want true-to-pan color that’s rich and dense–if I want to sheer it out, I’ll use less–that applies smoothly, evenly, and doesn’t disappear once you blend it out. I like denser, richer textures that almost feel buttery and creamy but are still powder-based.

I like a gloss that lasts at least four hours. I don’t mind if it’s sticky–I find my hair is just as easily caught in non-sticky gloss as it is sticky gloss.  I prefer non-scented over scented, though I’m not really bothered by most scents.  I gravitate towards more opaque colors with subtle shimmer.

For me, it’s a lot of trial and error.  I love coral and peach blushes with blues, greens, and teals–as well as pinks and golds, depending on the overall look.  Browns and neutrals go well with most blushes, and if you have a very light eye and lip, a heavier, darker cheek works nicely.  I love beige, brown, and nude shades to pair with neutral and smoky looks.  Cooler-toned blushes like plums and cotton candy pinks work better for me when I pair them with a cooler-toned lip (and tend to coordinate with gray, pink, and plum eyeshadows).
