What’s your philosophy on makeup? Take that as what you think that means!

Temptalia's Answer.

Makeup to me is an outlet to have fun, try new things, and get creativity flowing. It’s not always about making things perfect or absolutely flawless; a lot of it is really just trying things out and enjoying making mistakes to learn about what works, doesn’t, and how to improve. I love makeup because it’s fun, not because there’s a right or wrong way to do it. It’s great for restoring my confidence when I’m feeling low or highlighting my favorite features when I’m in a good mood.

What do you think of movie-themed makeup? (e.g. Twilight, Alice in Wonderland) Cheesy? Adorable?

Temptalia's Answer.

I think if I was in love with the movie/theme, I might like it. Otherwise, it’s really just about the quality!

Why must skincare be such a trial!

Do you prefer your eyeshadows in pots or palettes? Do you depot shadows to fit into palettes? Only buy from brands with palette options?

Temptalia's Answer.

I prefer palettes myself. I just find I forget about anything that isn’t in the palette — if it’s in the palette, I’ll see it when I’m feeling like a blue eyeshadow or a pink one.

Do you sanitize your beauty products? Do you have a schedule? Never?

Temptalia's Answer.

I sanitize lipsticks every 6 months or so, powder products every 6-9 months (generally when I do a major re-organization). I’m pretty clean about skincare and the like. I use recycleable disposable lipgloss wands for gloss so no double-dipping.

I sanitize lipsticks by dipping them in rubbing alcohol, gently blotting, then letting it dry (about five minutes). I sanitize powders by spraying them with rubbing alcohol, waiting 30 seconds or so, then wiping down with a paper towel. I get my recycleable, disposable lipgloss wands here; they also have lip brushes here.

What kind of lighting do you do your makeup in? Natural? Office? Special bulbs?

Temptalia's Answer.

I actually have no idea. They’re just whatever lights my apartment bathroom has! Probably some form of fluorescent.
