I prefer using a neutral colored lip liner (which matches my natural lip color) or match it to the lipstick in particular, then I layer on the lipstick with a lip brush. I lightly dust on loose, translucent powder, and then apply another layer of lipstick.
I love shu uemura’s cleansing oil (the orange one), but most cleansing oils seem to do really well (Bobbi Brown, DHC, MAC) at breaking down long-wearing or waterproof makeup. If I have a lot of heavy eye makeup or eyeliner on, I use Lancome’s Bi-Facil!
Would Jack Black Lip Balm count? Seriously, it’s one of those products I have bought over and over again and HAVE to keep STOCKED in my house at all times. If it’s more about a color cosmetic, then I’d have to say Cle de Peau #2 Lipgloss or Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Lacquer. Both the color and everything I associate with it.
I find earth tones in general seem to work well with my hazel eyes. Love warmer browns along with olive and khaki greens!
I find brights seem more appropriate during summer, while spring is about keeping it softer, and fall is all about vampy lip color. Winter seems to be decked out in red lips and smoky eyes. Overall, I still wear whatever I feel like no matter the season!
My favorite part is applying mascara, because I feel like you never really know how a look will turn out until you add mascara!
