Tarina Tarantino Tommy Jet Eye Dream Hyperliner

Tarina Tarantino Tommy Jet Eye Dream Hyperliner ($15.00 for 0.04 oz.) is described as “deepest black.” I’d argue it’s a dark black, but it’s not the richest, darkest black eyeliner I’ve come across. It’s not soft, and it’s a bit darker than medium black. There is a whole host of other black eyeliners that are comparable; most notably MAC Black Black, MAC Smolder, and Bobbi Brown Black. I promise: updated eyeliner comparisons are on my to-do list!

Tarina Tarantino Spark of Envy Eye Dream Hyperliner

Tarina Tarantino Spark of Envy Eye Dream Hyperliner ($15.00 for 0.04 oz.) is described as a “metallic peacock green.” It’s a rich shade of teal with a hint of blue. It doesn’t lean green and just barley leans blue, but it’s a cooler-toned teal with a metallic finish. It’s less green compared to Urban Decay Clinic and Urban Decay Covet (both of those are almost the same).  I’ve been reaching for this a lot lately, because it looks great paired with a neutral eye as it gives some oomph without dominating.  The product is creamy, so it glides on easily and smoothly without tugging at the lash line.  It yields really good color payoff in a single pass.

Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyper Liners: Rockstar Love, Puppeteer, Cute Robot

I reviewed several of Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliners ($15.00 for 0.04 oz.) here, and I was extremely impressed with the formula. I have three more shades to share with you: Rockstar Love (black with iridescent shimmer), Puppeteer (dark brown with bronze shimmer), and Cute Robot (metallic deep blue violet). Can you tell I’m kind of on a quest to collect ’em all? (For reference, maybe more for me than you, I’m missing Spark of Envy and Tommy Jet.)

Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliners Swatches, Photos, Reviews

I actually reviewed Glamorous Thief and Amethyst Android when these originally launched here, and I liked them then–and I really love the Eye Dream Hyperliners generally, after trying several shades for the past few weeks. I’ve been digging Locket Book and Sparkling Ammunition for a defined eye that’s not as stark as black. These are so, so smooth.   They have the same softness and smooth application as Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liners, actually, which wasn’t how I felt originally.  They deliver a fair amount of pigmentation in a single pass, though I’d probably use the same back-and-forth method I typically use with eyeliners for a really rich, opaque line of color. They hold up well without budging, fading, or smudging. I’ve worn them during a shower (the easiest and quickest way to test out “waterproof” claims–plus, humidity!) and had no issues there.
