The Spring Season: Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick
Lancome Rich Cashmere L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick
($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a softened peachy nude with subtle gold shimmer. It has a very creamy, almost milky look when applied to lips. It’s nearly opaque in color, and the shade itself is definitely a nude for me. Paired with my warmer skin tone, it doesn’t make me look corpse-ish, which is something I definitely like. I find cooler nudes can often wash out my face, but shades like Rich Cashmere give me that sexy nude lip without making me look pale.

The Spring Season: Korres #34 Nude Guava Lipstick
Korres #34 Nude Guava Lipstick
($22.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a softened peachy-nude with a creamy, smooth look. It goes on opaque and feels moisturizing without being heavy. There is no shimmer to the color, just a bit of a glossy sheen when the light hits. It’s a beautiful color with a lovely finish and feel–I just wish you got more in the tube, as it’s about half as much as a typical lipstick.

The Spring Season: Maybelline Born With It Lipstick
Maybelline Born With It ColorSensational Lipcolor ($7.49) is a softened pink-nude with soft champagne shimmer and a creamy finish. It has a light sheen, more sheen than glossiness, and it has decent color coverage–though not quite opaque (you can still see my little lip freckle/beauty mark!). This is probably one of my favorite shades of Maybelline lipstick I’ve tried so far! What are your favorite Maybelline shades?

The Spring Season: MAC Touch Lipstick
MAC Touch Lipstick
($14.00) is an creamy, full color coverage browned nude with a glossy sheen. This is one of my favorite browns to wear, because on me, it’s just right–I find that darker browns can look odd on me–it has just enough warmth and lightness to make it work as a darkened nude. Touch has a lustre finish, but it’s the best kind of lustre–all of that beautiful shine with creamy color. Like other MAC lipsticks, it is vanilla-scented and wears for about four hours before fading.

The Spring Season: Urban Decay Indecent Lipstick
Urban Decay Lipstick Indecent
($22.00) is a semi-sheer, ultra glossy/shiny softened orange-coral with subtle champagne-gold shimmer. It’s so sheer and glossy that it almost looks more like a thin gloss than a lipstick. Urban Decay lipsticks have kind of a burnt caramel sugar scent and they don’t taste like much to me, though some with more refined tastebuds have noted it has an off-taste. They are moisturizing and last about four hours on my lips, though sheerer shades like Indecent seem to wear off a little faster than more opaque or heavier shades do!

The Spring Season: MAC Creme d’Nude Lipstick
MAC Creme d’Nude Lipstick
($14.00) is a creamy, nearly opaque pink-toned fleshy nude. It’s warm enough to keep it from being too corpse-ish of a nude, and it’s definitely a popular favorite amongst Temptalia readers! (I wasn’t going to include it, because my store was out when I did my buying for Spring Season lipsticks, but due to the demand… I pestered my store until they found one for me!) It’s a cremesheen finish, so it has a creamier look without being too thick or having a lot of slip. Like most MAC lipsticks, it is vanilla-scented and wears for a few hours before fading.

The Spring Season: Benefit Zone Out Lipgloss
Benefit Cosmetics Lip Gloss Zone Out
($18.00) is an ultra sheer shimmering champagne with a touch of gold. This is really a gloss that’s best to enhance another lipstick or worn alone for a quick, everyday kind of lip that just sparkles a bit. It doesn’t actually add or change-up my normal lip color, so that’s why I like to pair it with a flatter lipstick to enhance the undertones of my lip color instead. Benefit Lip Gloss is a non-sticky, thinner gloss with a springy doe-foot applicator and no real noticeable scent from what I could sniff out!

The Spring Season: Shiseido PK 224 “Sugar Babe” Lipstick
Shiseido PK224 Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte Lip Color
($25.00) is a softened pink with a yellow undertone. It has a very glossy look to it in the light–completely the opposite of matte, despite the product name–and is incredibly creamy. In more natural/darker lighting, it has a semi-matte appearance. It’s moisturizing and fairly long-wearing, too–I get about three to four hours of wear in this particular shade.

The Spring Season: Guerlain Gabrielle Rouge G Lipstick
Guerlain Gabrielle (#60) Rouge G Lipstick
($45.00) is a pink nude with champage shimmer and a glossy sheen. It’s a creamy, moisturizing formula that clings to lips and lasts four to six hours on me. Gabrielle is probably on of the sheerest shades of Rouge G in the line-up, but it still gives good coverage (you can barely see the freckle on my bottom lip) while giving you that lightweight/sheerer look.

The Spring Season: Smashbox Splendid Lipstick
Smashbox Splendid Lipstick
($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, semi-opaque coral-pink with a glossy finish. It has subtle golden/champagne shimmer throughout, but it has more of a glimmering effect. Despite having a very soft and sheer look to it, it’s surprisingly opaque. It really melds and blends with your natural lip color, so it is easy to wear. Smashbox’s Lipsticks are always very creamy and moisturizing and wear for a solid four hours on me.
