Rescue Beauty Lounge Medium White Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Medium White Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is a creamy white with a hint of yellowy beige billowing through the shade. It’s streaky and semi-sheer after three coats. My issue with this polish was how streaky it was. It applied unevenly and looked like a big streaky mess even after three coats. You have to let each coat dry completely, because the next count will pull and create bald spots and patches.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pepto Pink Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pepto Pink Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) doesn’t have much in the way of an official description, but I suppose with a name like Pepto Pink, is it really necessary? It’s a brightened, medium-dark pink with a thin consistency that’s a little streaky on the first and second coats. It needs a third coat to bring it together, though I still had some visible nail line after three. The formula didn’t do it for me, which was disappointing, because the RBL formula is often worth shelling out for, but it wasn’t here.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Purple Haze Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Purple Haze Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “vivid violet,” which is an accurate depiction of this shade.  It has a cream finish, applies opaque in two coats, and has a slightly jelly-like quality to me.  In some lighting, it seems like a red-based purple, but then in other lighting, it seems more blue-based.  Purple Haze’s formula was impeccable–even flow, not too thick or thin, and no bubbling.  I typically get a full week of wear with RBL’s formula.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “watery pale blue.”  It’s really a soft, pale blue with a smidgen of green that looks squishy on.  From everything I’ve read on this polish, it is a sheer shade, so it’s not expected to be opaque nor designed to be worn that way.  I wore two coats in the swatches, and I think it works best with two.  It’s not streaky like some pastels, but it will start to look uneven if you don’t let each coat dry before the next and go to three or four coats.  I think a ridge filler would be helpful here, too, to really get a flawless, sheer look.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Insouciant Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Insouciant Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.4 fl. oz.) is described as a “toned-down dusty gray lilac” that’s “punked out rather than pastel with the faintest hint of shimmer.”  It’s a dusty medium-dark lilac muted with gray with iridescent aqua and violet micro-shimmer.   I used two coats for opaque color, and when I wore this as a full manicure, it held up really well–a solid week and a half with minor tip wear.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Bruised Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Bruised Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as both a brown and plum. On me, it’s a deep, burgundied plum with a cream finish. It’s really, really pigmented–you almost don’t need two coats. It’s like the second coat is just for the sake of finishing, but if you were precise with your first coat, you could leave it there. The formula is thick enough to hold all of that magnificent color pay off, but not so thick that it becomes difficult to work with. It flows over the nail easily and doesn’t bubble at all, and I felt like the drying time here was a little faster than the norm. I typically get a full week of wear with RBL’s formula.
