Color Club Cosmic Fate Nail Lacquer
Color Club Cosmic Fate Nail Lacquer

Color Club Cosmic Fate Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is warm-toned, peachy beige with holographic shimmer. I didn’t have any dupes for this, and while I still tried to find similar shades at least in color (but not the holographic effect), I didn’t have any strong contenders. These were the closest, but they’re just not very similar at all. China Glaze Knotty was the closest, but it was darker, sheerer, and of course, no holographic shimmer.

I loved how strong the holographic effect was; it’s not subtle–you don’t have to hold your nails at just the right angle under just the right light to see it.  It dances in all lights and at all angles.  The formula is perfection, as it is not too thick or too thin, flows fluidly across the nail and applies beautifully.  Cosmic Fate was opaque in two coats.  I normally get a week of wear with minor tip wear but no chipping with this formula.

Chanel Amant Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel Amant Rouge Coco Lipstick

Chanel Amant Rouge Coco Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, coral-red with subtle warm undertones and a natural sheen. MAC Must Be Red is brighter, warmer. Guerlain Rouge Sensuel is less pigmented, lighter. Guerlain Coque d’Or is more shimmery. Dior Lady is slightly darker. See comparison swatches.

This is one of five shades in chanel’s Avant-Premiere collection, which are all new and part of the permanent range. The Rouge Coco formula is supposed to glide on, be hydrating and moisturizing, and provide full coverage color. Amant was opaque, and the consistency was lightweight, creamy, and applied even, smooth color without pulling or tugging on the lips. This shade lasted five and a half hours on me, and it did leave a light stain behind. I found it moderately hydrating while I wore it, but what really stood out to me was just how smooth the color looked applied to lips. It really looked like it had melted and combined my natural lips so it never looked heavy.

MAC Fiestaware Nail Lacquer
MAC Fiestaware Nail Lacquer

MAC Fiestaware Nail Lacquer ($16.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “mid-tone orange coral [with a cream finish].” It’s a light-medium orange with a cream finish and warm undertones. It was mostly opaque in two coats (there’s a little visible nail line coming through at a distance). The consistency was not too thick or too thin. Nails, Inc. Porchester Place is darker. Butter London Trout Pout is pinker. MAC Ravishing is slightly darker. See comparison swatches.

Ke Ai ($16.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft pink frost [with a frost finish].” It’s a soft, pale pink with silver sparkle. It’s semi-opaque with two coats, and it’s the type of polish that seems like it’s supposed to be a sheer but MAC didn’t say it’s sheer (and they have used this as a descriptor in the past). It was slightly thick but had minimal brush strokes and applied fairly well. OCC Femme is darker. NARS Trouville is more pigmented, less shimmery. MAC Confectionary is lighter, less shimmery. Illamasqua Pink Raindrops is more muted, more pigmented.Rescue Beauty Lounge Plie is more pigmented, has no shimmer. Essie Kisses & Bisses is iridescent. See comparison swatches.

Morange ($16.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright cream orange [with a cream finish].” It’s a medium-dark orange with red undertones and a cream finish. It was opaque in two coats and applied fairly well. Cult Nails Ay Poppy is more muted. NARS TV Party is slightly lighter. NARS Madness is brighter. Illamasqua Gamma is lighter, brighter. See comparison swatches.

Sweet Pop ($16.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “peach cream [with a cream finish].” It’s a light peachy orange with a cream finish. It was slightly thin in consistency, and it was streaky during application. What makes it stand out from other peaches is it has a strong orange and yellow tone to it. MAC Riot Gear is darker, more orange. MAC Pep Pep Pep is less orange, lighter. See comparison swatches.

Chanel Jade Shore Stylo Eyeshadow
Chanel Jade Shore Stylo Eyeshadow

Chanel Jade Shore Stylo Eyeshadow ($34.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “tender green.” It’s a cool-toned green with gold and aquamarine shimmer. It’s complex; and I think it’s going to look bluer on those with cooler undertones. Tom Ford Emerald Lust #2 is darker and a powder eyeshadow. Chanel Metamorphose #1 is similar but powder. Dior Garden Pastels #5 is slightly bluer. Make Up For Ever #302 is more teal and a powder eyeshadow. See comparison swatches.

The Stylo Eyeshadow formula is supposed to feel lightweight, be long-wearing, and give a “shimmering veil” of color. I had some wear issues with Cool Gold, but when I tried Jade Shore, the experience was rather different! I didn’t experience any creasing, and I didn’t have significant issues with fall out. There were a few stray sparkles underneath my lash line after eight hours of wear, but it was barely noticeable. The consistency felt exactly the same as with Jade Shore: wet and cool, just like water, creamy, and it glided on effortlessly, but despite all the slip, it didn’t settle into my creases. The color payoff is semi-sheer to semi-opaque, which is as described.

MAC Razzledazzler Lipstick
MAC Razzledazzler Lipstick

MAC Razzledazzler Lipstick ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “light cream peach [with a Lustre finish].” It’s a lightly pink-tinted, light-medium coral with a luminous sheen. It has mostly opaque color payoff but there is an underlying translucency and slight sheerness that is more Lustre-like. This lasted two and a half hours on me. Tom Ford Frolic is warmer, sheerer. MAC Style Surge is brighter, warmer. MAC Reel Sexy is lighter, pinker. MAC In a Heart Beat is lighter. MAC Cut a Caper is pinker. MAC Coral Bliss is slightly lighter. MAC So Vain is similar. Estee Lauder Naked is lighter and more matte. Burberry Devon Sunset is less pink. See comparison swatches.

Tart & Trendy ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “bright neutral orange cream [with a Lustre finish].” It’s a brightened, medium orange with a luminous finish and warm, slightly yellow undertones. It had mostly opaque color payoff with just a bit of sheerness–but it was definitely more pigmented than the average Lustre (which may be a happy accident for some!). I started my morning off wearing this, and it lasted three and a half hours on me. It felt somewhat drying (which is my typical experience with Lustres, so if you usually find them moisturizing, then we have opposite experiences, on average). Maybelline Electric Orange is redder in tone and a bit darker. MAC Booyah is slightly darker and more red-toned. MAC Good to Go has a strong red undertone and is darker. MAC Fashion Nomad is bit brighter/more intense. MAC Sounds Like Noise is lighter, yellower. MAC Saigon Summer is more muted and sheerer (which contributed to how much more muted it looked in comparison). MAC Morange is darker and redder. See comparison swatches.

Neon Orange ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “bright clean orange [with an Amplified finish].” It’s a bold, medium orange with strong, warm red undertones and a natural sheen. It had full, opaque color coverage, and it was lightly creamy. This shade is permanent at PRO stores (and regular customers now have access to the majority of the PRO range online). I’ve had this on for nearly four hours, and it’s still going strong. Shades like Maybelline Orange Edge, Maybelline Vibrant Mandarin, MAC Good to GoMAC Morange, and OCC Psycho are all rather comparable to each other. Shades like Maybelline Electric Orange, MAC Booyah, and MAC Fashion Nomad are a bit lighter, less reddened. Then, shades like MAC Scarlet ibis and MAC Sail La Vie are slightly redder and appear a bit darker. See comparison swatches.

Flamingo ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “light milky bright coral [with a Lustre finish].” It’s a pink-tinged coral with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a slight, underlying translucency that gave it a lighter look applied to the lips (not as heavy-looking as an opaque, creamy shade). This shade is a bit of a chameleon, and it will really go pinker/more coral depending on your natural lip color.  It lasted just over two and a half hours on me.  theBalm Strawbery is pinker, darker. NYX Stella is a bit pinker. MAC Blossom Culture is slightly darker. MAC Sunny Seoul is darker and pinker. MAC Cut-a-Caper is warmer. MAC Coral Bliss is lighter, less pink. MAC Betty Bright is brighter. Guerlain Rose Desir is warmer, less pink. Chanel Flirt is more muted. See comparison swatches.

MAC Royal Sunset Blush
MAC Royal Sunset Blush

MAC Royal Sunset Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “soft cool peach [with a satin finish].” It’s a warm-toned pink with a hint of coral and a satiny sheen. MAC Legendary is less pink, darker. MAC Launch Away is lighter, pinker. Dior Pink Happiness is darker. Chanel Fleur de Lotus is warmer, more shimmery. See comparison swatches.

Royal Sunset had good color payoff and was buildable, blendable, and easy to use. It didn’t look powdery on the skin, and the satin finish didn’t emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture. It lasted eight hours well on me, which is slightly longer than average for MAC’s satin blushes in my experience. The texture was soft, smooth, and finely-milled. The satin finish looks matte initially, but the more you buff the blush into the skin, the more glowy the finish becomes. MAC paired the warmer, more orange-inspired hues of this collection with grays, and as some readers were uncertain about how everything would work together, I did want to show how they come together (the combination of the quad, blush, and lipstick doesn’t work on my skin tone).
