Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush

Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as “tangerine.” It’s a brightened, medium orange with warm, red undertones and a satin finish. YSL Corail Affranchi (07) (P, $40.00) is more muted. YSL Orange Fougueux (04) (P, $40.00) is redder. Maybelline Coral Burst (LE, $5.99) is powder. NARS Taj Mahal (P, $29.00) is lighter, shimmery, powder. NARS Rotonde (LE, $41.00) is lighter, powder, matte. MAC Optimistic Orange (LE, $21.00) is redder. Inglot #45 Face Blush (P, $10.00) is powder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The HD Blush formula is a soft, creamy, lightweight, and extremely blendable. You need that blendability because it is also a highly pigmented formula, but it can easily be applied with a light hand for sheer color or built up for true-to-pan color. The texture feels creamy initially but dries down to a powder as you apply and blend it into the skin, but the powder dry down is still blendable, so you never feel like you have to hurry. #515 wore well for nine hours on me before starting to fade slightly. This is the last shade I had to review, and you can read all my past reviews for other shades here.

Givenchy Corail Decollete (303) Le Rouge
Givenchy Corail Decollete (303) Le Rouge

Last up, three new coral shades in the Givenchy Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) formula. It’s a very creamy, lightweight, long-wearing lipstick that is hydrating, comfortable to wear, rose-scented, and is typically very pigmented. Some of the lighter shades don’t apply quite as flawlessly as medium and dark shades, but they’re particularly flattering on lips as they make lips appear smoother.

Givenchy Corail Decolette (303) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “pink-toned coral.” It’s a medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a soft, luminous sheen. It had rich, full coverage color that applied beautifully without tugging on the lips. This shade wore well for five and a half hours on me. Givenchy Rose Boudoir (204) (P, $36.00) is pinker, more muted. Givenchy Brun Vintage (105) (P, $36.00) is more muted. Revlon Snow Peach (LE, $7.99) is similar. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is pinker. Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (171) (LE, $35.00) is a touch pinker. YSL Rose Neillia (33) (P, $34.00) is darker, pinker. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $21.00) is warmer. Givenchy Magnolia Organza (301) (P, $36.00) is darker. Givenchy Rose Dressing (202) (P, $36.00) is slightly darker. MAC Watch Me Simmer (LE, $16.00) is more matte. Chanel Genial (LE, $34.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Rouge Egerie (305) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “coral red.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark coral-red with warm undertones and a luminous finish. It had intense, full color payoff that applied easily and evenly onto the lips. This shade wore well for six and a half hours and left a stain behind. Chanel La Malicieuse (46) (P, $34.00) is pinker. Givenchy Magnolia Organza (301) (P, $36.00) is pinker. MAC Hibiscus (LE, $16.00) is more orange, shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Corail Signature (317) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “coral orange.” It’s a medium orange with warm, reddish undertones and a luminous finish. It had rich, opaque color coverage, and the consistency was creamy and helped it apply smoothly to the lips. This shade wore well for almost five hours on me. It’s a more muted shade of orange with less red in it than the average orange lipstick. Paul and Joe Beaute Once Upon a Time (081) (LE, $17.00) is lighter. MAC Sweet Grenadine (LE, $17.00) is sheerer. MAC Tart & Trendy (LE, $16.00) is lighter, yellower. MAC Fashion Nomad (LE, $16.00) is darker. MAC Sounds Like Noise (LE, $16.00) is lighter, yellower. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Brun Vintage (105) Le Rouge
Givenchy Brun Vintage (105) Le Rouge

Here are three of the new mid-tone, pink-hued shades of Givenchy Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) that recently released. The Le Rouge formula is lightweight, creamy, pigmented, hydrating, and fairly long-wearing, though some of the lighter shades tend to be less flawleess in application and can wear closer to average in wear time. They have a rose scent but no discernible taste.

Givenchy Brun Vintage (105) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “muted rose.” It’s a medium, rosy pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich, opaque color coverage that applied evenly and made lips look smoother. This one had less of a sheen compared to other shades in the range. This shade wore well for five hours on me. Chanel Fleurie (139) (LE, $34.00) is lighter. Tom Ford Beauty Indian Rose (P, $45.00) is darker, more neutral. MAC Grande Dame (P, $22.00) is warmer. Burberry Rose Pink (307) (P, $30.00) is darker, more matt.e Make Up For Ever #4 (P, $19.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Rose Boudoir (204) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “rosy pink-toned red.” It’s a slightly brightened, medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a soft shine. It had fully opaque pigmentation that applied well to lips and didn’t settle into lip lines or tug at the lips. The color lasted for five hours on me. Revlon Snow Peach (LE, $7.99) is warmer. MAC Be a Lady (P, $22.00) is similar. Chanel Fleurie (139) (LE, $34.00) is sheerer. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is brighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Shout (138) (LE, $30.00) is darker, warmer. Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (171) (LE, $35.00) is slightly warmer. YSL Rose Neillia (33) (P, $34.00) is brighter. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $21.00) is warmer. Givenchy Rose Taffetas (201) (P, $36.00) is lighter. Urban Decay Fiend (P, $22.00) is more muted. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Nude Guipure (106) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “brownish nude pink.” It’s a light-medium, pink-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a soft sheen. It was mostly opaque, but it wasn’t fully opaque. The texture had a bit more slip to it, so the application wasn’t as flawless as it is with other shades in the formula. This color wore well for four hours on me. Revlon Ingenue (145) (P, $8.99) is browner, sheerer. MAC Spice (LE, $16.00) is darker, browner. MAC Shanghai Spice (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery, darker. MAC Mystical (LE, $16.00) is darker, pinker. NARS Last Tango (LE, $26.00) is slightly cooler-toned. Givenchy Rose d’Exception (206) (LE, $36.00) is pinker. Flower Beauty Petal Kiss (P, $6.98) is more matte. NARS Sex Machine (P, $25.00) is lighter, more matte. Giorgio Armani Blush (500) (P, $32.00) is pinker, glossier. Burberry Peony Rose (302) (P, $30.00) is more matte, darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Rose Perfecto (209) Le Rouge
Givenchy Rose Perfecto (209) Le Rouge

Next up in our look at some of the new shades in the Givenchy Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) range are three pinks. The Le Rouge formula is best described as a creamy, richly pigmented, hydrating lipstick that has a light, natural to luminous shine. It is rose-scented with no discernible taste (from what I could tell). It’s long-wearing, comfortable to wear, and usually makes my lips look better than they do naturally as the consistency and texture make them appear smoother.

Givenchy Rose Perfecto (209) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “electric bright pink.” It’s a brightened, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a soft shine. It had rich, full color coverage in a single pass, and it applied evenly and left lips looking fuller and smoother. This shade wore well for almost six hours on me. These days, we’re fairly inundated with bright pinks, so it’s not really a unique shade; what makes it slightly different than your typical neon fuchsia is really that it isn’t that neon–it’s bright but not blindingly blight, but it is not a dark fuchsia either. MAC Kelly Yum-Yum (LE, $16.00) is slightly more matte. MAC Happy-Go-Lucky (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Bite Beauty Satsuma (LE, $24.00) is lighter, more matte. Marc Jacobs Beauty Gossip (140) (LE, $30.00) is more matte. Urban Decay Anarchy (P, $22.00) is darker. MAC Pink Pigeon (P, $16.00) is darker. MAC Outrageously Fun (LE, $16.00) is lighter, cooler-toned. MAC Daddy’s Little Girl (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned, more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Rose Dahlia (210) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bubblegum pink.” It’s a light-medium, cool-toned pink with strong, blue undertones. It almost looks a little grayish against my warmer skin tone. It had mostly opaque color payoff, but the texture seemed less forgiving–it didn’t look as smooth or as even applied as Rose Perfecto. This shade lasted for four hours on me. NARS Villa Lante (LE, $25.00) is warmer, darker. MAC Divine Choice (P, $22.00) is sheerer. MAC Snob (P, $16.00) is lighter, cooler-toned, less pink. MAC Raspberry Swirl (LE, $16.00) is slightly lighter. MAC Pink Nouveau (P, $16.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Givenchy Hibiscus Exclusif (302) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “muted neon pink.” It’s a medium, very subtly cool-toned pink with a soft shine. I’d buy that it was a “muted neon pink,” as its brightness seems to fall somewhere between normal and neon–a little shy of “bright” even. The undertone seems to lean slightly blue when swatched and worn, but it looks almost warm-toned at times, yet when swatched next to truly warm pinks, it looks decidedly cooler–but your natural skin tone may pull it one way or the other (more “your mileage may vary” than usual). The color was richly pigmented and applied evenly and smoothly. It wore well for five hours when I tested it. Bite Beauty Damask (LE, $28.00) is lighter, warmer. Bite Beauty Vigne (P, $24.00) is a touch darker. Chanel Fougueuse (138) (P, $34.00) is sheerer. Giorgio Armani #505 (LE, $32.00) is brighter, darker. Urban Decay Turn On (P, $22.00) is darker. Milani Hot Pink Rage (P, $5.49) is darker, cooler-toned. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Make Up For Ever #510 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #510 HD Blush

Make Up For Ever #510 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as “raspberry.” It’s a rich, raspberry red with subtle cool undertones and a satin finish. Chanel Chamade (67) (P, $38.00) is lighter, pinker. Kevyn Aucoin Neolita (P, $37.00) is darker, powder. NYX Desert Rose (P, $5.00) is lighter, powder. MAC Keep It Casual (LE, $20.00) is redder. Chanel Rouge (LE, $43.00) is powder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

As I mentioned previously, I’m generally a fan of Make Up For Ever, and their newer HD Blush range is one of my favorite cream blush formulas on the market. It feels like a lightweight, thin cream going on but dries down to powder as it is blended into the skin, but it remains blendable even in its “powder” form, which is why it’s so easy to work with. It’s very pigmented, so you can go light or heavy, depending on your preference, though it is forgiving if you’ve used too much. #510 was incredibly pigmented, and it wore well for nine hours before fading but seemed to stain just very slightly (for about an hour and a half after I removed it). You can read my reviews for other shades here.

Bite Beauty Lavender Luminous Creme Lipstick
Bite Beauty Lavender Luminous Creme Lipstick

Bite Beauty Lavender Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “vibrant orchid.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-purple with subtle, cool undertones and a luminous finish. This is one of the least pigmented lipsticks I’ve tried by Bite, and even the consistency is thinner and less creamy compared to other shades. It wore for three hours on me and was lightly hydrating. The formula has a slightly lemon/herbal scent to me but no discernible taste. MAC Snapdragon (LE, $16.00) is sheerer. NARS Villa Lante (LE, $25.00) is more matte. YSL Fetish Pink (8) (P, $34.00) is more opaque, lighter. MAC What a Feeling! (LE, $20.00) is sheerer. Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Rose (P, $21.00) is pinker. MAC Steady Going (LE, $16.00) is more matte, more opaque. Revlon Cupcake (P, $7.49) is cooler-toned. NARS Roman Holiday (P, $26.00) is lighter. Maybelline Pink Pop (P, $7.49) is more opaque, brighter. MAC Divine Choice (P, $22.00) is pinker. MAC Pink Popcorn (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Bite Beauty Violet Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “magenta violet.” It’s a bright, neon magenta fuchsia with cool, blue undertones and a luminous sheen. It had rich, fully opaque color coverage in a single pass. The consistency was creamy, comfortable to wear, and glided on without ever tugging on the lips. The formula was hydrating while worn, had a faint lemony/herbal scent, and lasted for six hours. It left behind a pinkish stain that lingered for another two hours or so. This is a shade that was unique years ago, but this year, we have seen many iterations. Sephora + Pantone Universe Radiant Rush (LE, $18.00) is more matte. Bite Beauty Moscato (P, $28.00) is brighter, lighter. Chanel La Diva (44) (P, $34.00) is more matte. NARS Full Frontal (LE, $26.00) is more muted. Maybelline Electric Fuchsia (LE, $7.49) is less magenta. MAC Dear Diary (LE, $18.00) is slightly darker, more matte. MAC Candy Yum Yum (P, $16.00) is pinker. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nylon (P, $18.00) is brighter, lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
