Marc Jacobs Beauty Brown(out), (Plum)age, (Wave)length Highliner Gel Crayons

Here are the last three of the seven new Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayons ($25.00 for 0.01 oz.). If you’re unfamiliar with the formula, it’s a pencil eyeliner that is supposed to be “waterproof, long-wearing, [and have] color-intense payoff.” In general, I find the long-wearing and waterproof claims to be the most accurate with the color payoff depending on the shade.

Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose & Tumultuous Pink Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick

Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose (420) Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “rich rose.” It’s a muted, rosy coral with warm undertones and a soft, luminous sheen. It had fully opaque pigmentation that was easy to apply, due to the lightly creamy, glide-on consistency of the formula. The lipstick wore five and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating while worn. MAC Mystical (LE, $16.00) is lighter.Guerlain Geneva (48) (P, $51.00) is warmer. MAC Toying Around (LE, $16.00) is brighter. Dior Sunset (660) (LE, $34.00) is warmer, shimmery, brighter. Estee Lauder Defiant Coral (P, $30.00) is brighter, warmer. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is pinker, lighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Shout (138) (LE, $30.00) is slightly pinker, more matte. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $21.00) is lighter, brighter. Givenchy Rose Dentelle (203) (P, $36.00) is slightly warmer. Givenchy Rose Dressing (202) (P, $36.00) is pinker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Estee Lauder Impassioned & Envious Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks

Estee Lauder Impassioned (330) Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright vibrant orange.” It’s a medium-dark orange-red with warm undertones and a soft shine. It had rich, fully opaque color coverage that applied smoothly and evenly without settling into lip lines. The consistency was lightly creamy but didn’t feather over the six-hour wear time. It was lightly moisturizing while worn. Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen (P, $22.00) is a touch lighter. Givenchy Carmin Escarpin (306) (P, $36.00) is darker, redder. Dior Trafalgar (844) (P, $34.00) is slightly redder. Giorgio Armani #300 (P, $32.00) is more matte. Urban Decay Bang (P, $22.00) is brighter. Maybelline Orange Edge (LE, $7.49) is glossier. Maybelline Vibrant Mandarin (P, $7.49) is similar. MAC Scarlet Ibis (LE, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Sail La Vie (LE, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Lady Danger (P, $16.00) is darker, matte. Buxom Rogue (P, $21.00) is brighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Bite Beauty Damask & Crimson Deconstructed Rose Lipsticks

Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Lipstick ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a recently released set of four shades (I reviewed two here, and this post features the other two shades) “inspired by the ever-changing color of a rose.” They’re creamy, light-medium in weight, richly pigmented, hydrating, and wear well. The formula is rose-scented, but I didn’t have any issues with taste. In all honesty, the formula didn’t really seem any different from the Luminous Creme lipstick, but an attempt to read through the ingredient list on this one (which is difficult to read on this packaging), while it is similar to the Luminous Creme, doesn’t appear to be exactly the same.
