Chanel Olga (422) Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel Olga (422) Rouge Coco Lipstick

Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.10 oz.) has been reinvented with a “renovated formula and vibrant colour spectrum.” Each shade is “inspired by Coco Chanel and her closest friends.” The formula is touted as “ultra hydrating,” “rich,” “bright,” and “luminous.” The texture is lightweight with moderate slip so it glides on without tugging. These were comfortable to wear, but they weren’t “ultra hydrating” to me, and the color payoff didn’t see vibrant, rich, or bright.

Chanel Olga (422) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright pink.” It’s a muted, light-medium pink with subtle warm undertones and barely-there golden shimmer. (Bright pink it is definitely not.) It’s semi-sheer with a luminous sheen. The formula was neither hydrating nor drying, and it lasted for an hour and a half on me. Guerlain Rosy Silk (LE, $37.00) is less glossy. Tom Ford Beauty Ian (LE, $32.00) is cooler-toned. Chanel Intime (93) (P, $35.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Impulsive (P, $30.00) is warmer, less shimmery. YSL Corail Jalouse (32) (P, $34.00) is brighter, less shimmery. Tom Ford Beauty Summer Fling (04) (LE, $49.00) is warmer. Too Faced Taffy (P, $22.00) is less shimmery. Revlon Pink Lemonade (P, $7.49) is slightly less shimmery. MAC Giddy (P, $16.00) is brighter. Guerlain Gabrielle (P, $51.00) is lighter. Chanel Jersey Rose (P, $34.00) is darker, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Chanel Cecile (432) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “soft rosewood.” It’s a muted, medium rosy pink with warm undertones and a soft, frosted shimmer-sheen finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage with a creamy, lightweight texture that went on evenly. It lasted for three and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating. Tarte Rare (LE) is brighter, warmer. Givenchy Nude Guipure (106) (P, $36.00) is less shimmery. Estee Lauder Dynamic (P, $30.00) is warmer, darker, less shimmery. Tom Ford Beauty Summer Fling (04) (LE, $49.00) is lighter. MAC Morning Rose (LE, $16.00) is darker. Chanel Equivoque (126) (LE, $34.00) is darker. NYX Blush (P, $4.00) is less shimmery. Guerlain Rose Desir (LE, $51.00) is cooler-toned. Guerlain Gabrielle (P, $51.00) is lighter. Guerlain Romance (LE, $35.00) is more shimmery. Chanel Jersey Rose (P, $34.00) is lighter. Chanel Gardenia (P, $34.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Chanel Suzanne (438) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as am “intense rosewood.” It’s a softened, medium-dark rosy plum with warm undertones and a soft, shimmery sheen. It was less luminous compared to the other two shades, but it had the most color payoff–mostly opaque but with some translucency, so the natural lip color will still come through. It wore well for four hours and was lightly hydrating. MAC Marque (P, $23.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Guerlain Air Kiss (304) (P, $37.00) is darker. Buxom Dolly (LE, $21.00) is lighter. MAC Mystical (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Irresistible (P, $30.00) is lighter, less shimmery, more muted. MAC Out for Passion (LE, $20.00) is warmer. MAC Morning Rose (LE, $16.00) is lighter more shimmery. Chanel Ce Soir (P, $34.00) is less shimmery. MAC Glamourdaze (LE, $16.00) is darker. Guerlain Gracia (P, $51.00) is slightly warmer. Buxom Hooligan (P, $21.00) is less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Chanel Mysterio (102) Illusion d'Ombre Eyeshadow
Chanel Mysterio (102) Illusion d’Ombre Eyeshadow

Chanel Mysterio (102) Illusion d’Ombre Eyeshadow ($36.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, metallic silver that runs neutral-to-warm-toned. Kat Von D Moonshine (LE) is cooler-toned. Make Up For Ever ME202 Iceberg Blue (P, $21.00) is lighter, cooler-toned. Ulta Silver (P, $10.00) is lighter. MAC A Waft of Grey #2 (P, $21.00) is similar. Sleek MakeUP Pretty in Paris (LE, $9.99) is brighter. NARS Interstellar (P, $25.00) is cooler-toned. Giorgio Armani Silver Chafer (35) (LE, $33.00) is darker. Marc Jacobs Beauty The Starlet #6 (P) is cooler-toned. Maybelline Silver Strike (P, $6.99) is cooler-toned. MAC Extra Silver (LE, $19.50) is similar. Chanel Infini (P, $29.50) is lighter. Chanel Fantasme (P, $36.00) is lighter, whiter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It has a very mirror-like metallic sheen applied to the lid, as it is incredibly reflective. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable, so it was easy to apply it all-over the lid and blend out the edges. I applied it with a flat, synthetic concealer brush and used the edges of the brush to soften the color extending past the crease. The color payoff was mostly opaque, but it seemed buildable. It also sheers out nicely if you prefer a wash of shimmer rather than full coverage. On me, the eyeshadow lasted for ten hours before creasing, but there was some shimmer fall out over time.

Anastasia Sweet Talker Liquid Lipstick
Anastasia Sweet Talker Liquid Lipstick

Anastasia Sweet Talker Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “watermelon pink.” It’s a bright, neon pink with warm undertones and an ultra-matte finish. Kat Von D Berlin (P, $19.00) is darker, warmer. MAC No Faux Pas (LE, $16.00) is darker, cooler-toned. MAC Good Kisser (LE, $16.00) is darker, cooler-toned. Marc Jacobs Beauty Wham (604) (P, $28.00) is warmer, less matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

This shade is intensely pigmented with really smooth, even color coverage. It didn’t settle into lip lines, and it doesn’t look really dry on lips, but it does have a very flat, ultra-matte finish, so if you prefer a little sheen, this formula might not be for you. Over time, I felt the formula was noticeably drying by the fourth hour of wear, and it was very drying after six hours of wear, though it lasted well for almost eight hours. It did fade from the center more than the edges, but it only faded subtly, so it wasn’t too apparent.

Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow
Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow

Sugarpill Mint Soda Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “metallic mint with a sparkling gold sheen.” It’s a brightened golden chartreuse green with gold sparkle and a metallic finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation when applied dry, while it intensified to mostly opaque pigmentation when applied with a dampened brush. The texture was soft, silky, and smooth, but there is a lot of sparkle to it, which I did see fall out with while worn, though the color didn’t fade for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Hug Life Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “vibrant seafoam turquoise with green and gold undertones.” It’s a lightly brightened, aqua green with subtle warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation applied dry, and it was fully opaque when applied with a dampened brush. The texture was very finely-milled and smooth. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Clickbait Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “metallic mossy teal with golden sheen.” It’s a softened, medium bluish-teal with a strong yellow gold shimmer-sheen. It was fairly opaque even applied dry, though it was smoother and more metallic when applied damp. The consistency of the powder was silky and soft that was finely-milled. This shade wore well for eight hours before creasing slightly. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Holy Ghost Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “sparkling deep sea blue with aqua and green reflects.” It’s a muted, medium-dark blue with subtle cool undertones and a pearly sheen with lighter aqua flecks of sparkle. The texture was very finely-milled and silky, which made it easy to blend out. It was semi-opaque when I tried it dry, though it was buildable. I had better pigmentation when I used it with a dampened brush, but it was easier to blend when it was dry. It lasted for eight hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Grand Tiara Loose Eyeshadow ($14.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “bright metallic silver.” It’s a light-medium silver with a metallic finish and very fine shimmer. It was semi-opaque applied dry and fully opaque with a very metallic sheen when applied damp. It wore well for eight hours before fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Tom Ford Beauty Raw Jade Eye Color Duo
Tom Ford Beauty Raw Jade Eye Color Duo

Tom Ford Beauty Raw Jade Eye Color Duo ($60.00 for 0.13 oz.) consists of a brighter, iridescent green-tinged white and a deeper, olive green. The formula can be used wet or dry, with dry application for a “sleek and soft finish” or “wet for a bold and chromatic finish.” It is similar to products like MAC In Extra Dimension, NARS Dual Intensity, Estee Lauder Gelee, and so forth.

Raw Jade (Left) is an iridescent green-tinted white with a metallic finish. It had mostly opaque coverage applied dry, but it appeared yellower/warmer. Applied with a dampened brush, it was more metallic and brighter. The texture was soft, finely-milled, and fairly smooth, but it didn’t apply as smoothly as it could have. The color started to fade after nine hours of wear. MAC Fresh Blade (LE, $15.00) is less metallic. LORAC Unlocked (P) is yellower. LORAC Opal (LE) is lighter. Make Up For Ever D416 Crystalline Yellow (P, $21.00) is less green. Make Up For Ever D316 Crystalline Pinky Green (P, $21.00) is greener. Dior Dulcinee #2 (LE) is similar. MAC Zestful (LE, $19.50) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Raw Jade (Right) is a medium-dark olive green with warm, khaki undertones and a frosted finish. It applied very much the same whether used dry or wet, though it was a smidgen more metallic damp. It had excellent color payoff with a really smooth, silky texture that blended well on the skin. The color wore well without fading for nine and a half hours. Giorgio Armani Green Iron (06) (P, $38.00) is a liquid product. Hourglass Color Field #4 (P) is similar. Sephora + Pantone Universe Dusty Olive (LE) is similar. Makeup Geek Jester (P, $9.99) is brighter, lighter. theBalm Kawabunga (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever I328 Bronze (P, $21.00) is darker. Make Up For Ever I324 Bronze Khaki (P, $21.00) is lighter. Makeup Geek Kryptonite (P, $6.99) is lighter. Urban Decay Stash (LE, $18.00) is similar. Urban Decay Mildew (P, $18.00) is lighter. bareMinerals Eureka (P) is darker. bareMinerals Speaker Box (LE) is darker. Inglot #419 (P, $6.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Strangeling Loose Eyeshadow
Sugarpill Strangeling Loose Eyeshadow

Sugarpill Strangeling Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “deep metallic violet with aqua reflects.” It’s a brightened violet purple with cool undertones and a metallic finish. Applied dry, it was semi-sheer, and applied damp, it was mostly opaque. It was a more buildable product rather than richly pigmented right out of the jar. The texture was very soft and silky, and it blended well on the skin. It wore well for eight hours before creasing slightly. Makeup Geek Caitlin Rose (P, $9.99) is darker, less metallic. Make Up For Ever D926 Blueberry (P, $21.00) is warmer. Makeup Geek Pop Culture (P, $5.99) is less metallic. theBalm #33 (P, $6.50) is more iridescent. Sugarpill Charmy Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “pinky peach with iridescent fuchsia reflects.” It’s a light-medium coral with warm undertones and gold and fuchsia shimmer over a satin finish. It had good pigmentation both wet and dry, though it applies deeper when applied with a dampened brush. The texture was very silky and finely-milled, while going on evenly and smoothly. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading. MAC Mortal #3 (LE) is similar. Gucci Beauty Autumn Fire #2 (P) is lighter, more shimmery. Make Up For Ever I802 Coral Pink (P, $21.00) is pinker. Make Up For Ever I752 Electric Coral (P, $21.00) is warmer, brighter. L’Oreal Cherie Merie (LE, $7.99) is darker. Urban Decay Freelove (P, $18.00) is more shimmery. MAC Paradisco (P, $15.00) is similar. MAC Dynamo (LE, $21.00) is a cream product. Guerlain Coup de Foudre #2 (LE) is less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Penelope Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “metallic copper.” It’s a brightened copper with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had good pigmentation both wet and dry, but it was a richer, more molten copper shade when applied with a dampened brush, and it had a more metallic finish. The texture is smoother than a lot of loose coppery shades like this, but it wasn’t as finely-milled as a shade like Charmy, and it is better pressed into the skin. It wore well for eight hours on me. LORAC Unleashed (P) is lighter. Makeup Geek Flame Thrower (P, $9.99) is less metallic. Colour Pop Sequin (P, $5.00) is a cream product, more muted. Urban Decay Lucky (LE, $18.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever ME728 Copper Red (P, $21.00) is lighter. Makeup Geek Vegas Lights (P, $6.99) is less metallic. MAC Amber Lights (P, $15.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sugarpill Countess Loose Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “metallic maroon with a splash of aqua reflects.” It’s a muted, burgundy brown with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It was semi-opaque applied dry over skin, and it was fully opaque when I used a dampened brush. The color started to crease after eight and a half hours of wear, but the texture was soft and easy to work with. Makeup Geek Showtime (P, $9.99) is warmer, browner. MAC Plummed (LE, $15.00) is less metallic. Gucci Beauty Autumn Fire #3 (P) is less metallic, warmer. Tarte Plum Away With Me (LE) is slightly warmer, less metallic.
