Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Mattifying Face Primers!

my answer: Sometimes they’re packed with too many silicones, which almost feels like a fake… velvety feel to me? I think I can be pickier with the texture of silicone-heavy products. I love that they help keep makeup lasting longer!

Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Finishing Powders!

my answer: Five years ago, I probably would have said, “What’s the point?” For the past couple of years, though, I’m all about a great finishing powder! They really do finish a look–and I think the effect is more noticeable in person, as it gives skin the look of real skin.

Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Gift with Purchases!

my answer: I love when they’re larger sizes, whether half-size or full-size, rather than a bunch that are really, really small (like packets of skin care). They can be great ways to stock-up on travel-friendly favorites for quick weekend trips.

Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Tweezers!

my answer: I don’t like when they dull really quickly! I love a great slanted edge with a slight point that isn’t too sharp but is still enough to grab even the tiniest hairs.

Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Flat Irons!

my answer: I don’t use a flat iron regularly, but one thing I don’t like is when it is too easy to burn your fingers because of how certain things are placed or sized. I love that they’re pretty easy to use, though, and have an easy learning curve!

Share: Tell us what you love and hate about Eye Brushes!

my answer: One of my favorite brushes is MAC’s 239, and surprisingly, it’s not duped by 400 brands, and I don’t know why. I could just get by with this brush for all areas of the eye if I needed to (and when I first got into makeup, I did). I find a lot of the eyeshadow brushes designed for initially packing/patting on eyeshadow to be either too small or too large, and I’d love to see more medium-sized, moderately flat/firm brushes (but not so firm or flat that they’re more like cream eyeshadow brushes).
