Matte Eyeshadow

I NEED them to be blendabable and have enough binder in them to adhere without getting sheer or uneven! When they’re good, they’re great, but when they’re lower quality, I find they’re one of the harder products to “make work.”

Matte Blush

Matte blush is often very pigmented, but my personal preference is for something with a little more sheen to it (even just a little bit) so it doesn’t look flat on me.

Contour Brushes

These can be such a challenge to find the right angle and width for your face shape! I tend to prefer a smaller brush head so I know it’ll fit where I need it to (hollows of the cheeks), but then I’ll look for one that is less dense so it will be forgiving to use.

Loose Powder Brushes

I used to feel like they were all too big, and often, almost all the same shape, but now, I feel like we have so much variety in brush shapes, sizes, and styles to choose from that I have no general rants. I do prefer flatter, moderately dense brushes for loose powder, though!
