Pacifica Lotus Garden Spray Perfume ($22.00 for 1.2 oz.) is a soft scent of citrus-y floral. You can detect a little hint of grapefruit, but overall, it’s a very light, feminine floral scent. Pacifica describes this scent as “[a] meditative and intoxicating blend of sparkling yuzu, lotus blossom, jasmine, olibanum and bright, radiant green notes.”
For me, this is a fragrance that’s great for everyday wear; it’s not strong or particularly noticeable from across the room, but it’s a scent that just works. Even though I do like perfumes and the like, I tend to choose subtler scents on an ongoing basis and save the more potent scents for special occasions. (I think it’s probably because stronger scents tend to cause my allergies to flare up.) I find the scent lingers for a few hours before dissipating a bit. It’s been one of my favorite everyday scents this past spring, and I’ll continue to use it throughout the summer, too.
Pacifica is cruelty-free (they don’t use beeswax either!), are working towards carbon neutrality, and their packaging is recyclable and made with recycled content. Pacifica products do not contain parabens, propylene glycol, phtalates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, or sulfates. Their products are 100% vegan, which is definitely something that can be hard to find for some.

Lacoste’s Love of Pink is the most recent launch to continue in the “Pink” tradition (previous scents include Dream of Pink and Touch of Pink). The scent was designed for “women with a passion for love and a sense of romantic vitality, the alluring new fragrance from LACOSTE encapsulates that delicious burst of excitement felt upon falling in love.”
Top notes: The fragrance opens with a playful burst of Blood Orange and Passion Fruit which, underlined by a touch of Lemon Peel, together create a fruity and zesty first impression.
Heart notes: At the heart of the fragrance lies a delicate floral combination of Pink Magnolia, Quince Flower, Stephanotis, exuding tender intensity and femininity.
Base notes: White Cedarwood and Musky notes form the base of the fragrance and a final surprise – the rich lingering scent of a drop of vanilla – reminds of the feeling of love in all its sweetness.
This is a feminine, girly fragrance; it’s not a woodsy, sophisticated, or spicy scent. For those that enjoy a slightly sweet, floral scent, Love of Pink might just be up your alley. I can detect a soft, vanilla-ness to the scent that adds some sweetness, but it doesn’t overwhelm the scent and make it smell too food-y. The rest of the scent gives off a floral vibe from the mix of its other notes. I find the dry down to be very much like how it initially smells, but just a little subtler. It doesn’t turn or change much on me as I wear it through the day, and this is always something I’m cautious of when trying a new scent.
I like it, and my boyfriend even commented on how he liked it (which he rarely does), so that’s a huge plus. It’s perfect for spring/summer or a night out, though I tend to wear it more during the day time (but that’s usually when I spritz perfume).

Unconditional Love Eau de Toilette Spray (1.7 oz. for $40) is the latest fragrance release from Philosophy, which you may know because I absolutely adore their lip shines and shower gels. Unconditional Love is a mix of blackberries and vanilla–it’s a sweet, slightly food-y scent. I expected it to be cloying, too sweet to bear, but it’s a light scent with just enough sweetness to make it a comforting scent. I’d say it’s almost a heavier version of Philosophy’s Falling In Love, and it does remind me a bit of Stella, too.
Note that it is an Eau de Toilette, which means it is a lighter/less concentrated perfume, so the wear time isn’t not as good as an eau de parfum. This is a scent best layered with the coordinating shower gel or firming body emulsion (review coming!), if you really want to make it a more noticeable scent. It’s a fun scent for summery, beach-going days–when you want something low key, easy to wear, and sweet.
