Milani Rich Java Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) a medium-dark chocolaty brown with subtle red undertones and a delicate bronze micro-shimmer layered on top. It did seem to pull redder in the pan, but when swatched, it’s much less apparent. The softer shimmer and finish of Rich Java really elevates it, too, because it has nice color coverage (though it seems less intense swatched than the color seen in the pan). It applies nearly the same wet as it does dry, just a little smoother.
I do wish they’d ditch the sponge/brush applicator, though, because the bristles are splayed and scratchy, while the sponge is thin and surprisingly scratchy. I did like the switch to a black interior, over the champagne gold from the Runway Eyeshadows. The lid is also quite secure, and I had to pry it open with my nails.

Milani Purr-fect Purple Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is medium-dark red-toned purple with a silvered shimmer and sheen. Of the several new shades Milani released, I was disappointed in this one–the pigmentation is just not nearly as intense as it looks in the pan. The pan looks like a much more vibrant, violet purple with greater depth than is achieved when used (regardless of whether it is used wet or dry).
Milani could ditch that curved sponge/brush applicator, because the bristles are splayed and scratchy, while the sponge is thin and surprisingly scratchy. I did like the switch to a black interior, over the champagne gold from the Runway Eyeshadows. The lid is also quite secure, and I had to pry it open with my nails.
The color suffers from sheerness, even when applied dampened, which makes it one of the weaker shades from the recent launch of Milani's baked eyeshadows. The color is also more muted than it appears in the pan.

Milani Mix It Up Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a blackened base with iridescent teal and silver shimmer. When used wet, it’s absolutely gorgeous–really rich and luxuriously deep in color. Used dry, less of the iridescent and sheen is visible and has a slightly powdery finish. Milani notes that these should be used dry for a softer look and wet for something more intense, which is why I think the pigmentation is as expected based on Milani’s claims.

Milani Teal the Truth Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark teal with soft bluish-teal shimmer. This is a teal that leans bluer, but it’s really well balanced on the edge of green and blue. In some light, it almost looks like there is more of an aqua color to it, but in other light, it seems bluer. For a color that is, essentially, just teal, it is more nuanced than it appears. It applied better wet than dry, as it applied smoother and the color was denser and more opaque.

Milani Pink Twice Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is medium-dark pink with a frost finish. Milani’s Baked Metallic Eyeshadows can be used wet or dry–wet for more intensity, dry for more luminosity (which, given the context, must mean sheerer color). With Pink Twice, I found it applied about as well regardless of whether it was used wet or dry, but it did bind together a smidgen better wet so it had a smoother feel. I liked how this shade of the baked formula did not have any fall out issues, though, and the pigmentation level was nice–very true-to-pan color.

Milani I Heart You Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a coppery red with a shimmery, metallic finish. It looks redder in the pan than it is when swatched–there is a coppery orange that is much more pronounced when applied. It reminded me of MAC Coppering, but obviously in a baked form.
Milani’s Baked Metallic Eyeshadows can be used wet or dry–wet for more intensity, dry for more luminosity (which, given the context, must mean sheerer color). Given the nature of baked eyeshadows, I Heart You does apply smoother and more evenly when applied wet than dry, but still, it is quite pigmented when used dry. The texture is fairly smooth and soft, but when applied, there is a touch of fall out. It’s not unforgivable, but I did notice it.
