Here’s the video tutorial I spoke of in the look post earlier today… As I mentioned, I’m really disappointed with the quality of the video from the Flip camera I was trying out. I’m going to use my other camera for the next video attempt, whenever that may be, I couldn’t tell ya I hope you at least find it somewhat useful.

Look – BBR Sunset Gold Eyes with French Cuff and Flip

Here’s a really quick look using a bunch of BBR products I also attempted a video tutorial for it, but I’m really disappointed in the quality of the video–a little blurry, poor color–so I definitely won’t be using my Flip camera again! (It was free, thankfully.) I’ll have to give my DSLR’s video takin’ capabilities a shot next time I get around to doing a video. I think I can safely say that me putting out *any* video is an accomplishment

You will need the following…

Eyes: Your Ladyship pigment (beige-pink), Flip eyeshadow (soft yellow bronze gold), French Cuff eyeshadow (bronzy-pink), 100 Strokes eyeshadow (burgundy), Femme-fi eyeshadow (highlighter), Feline kohl power (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
Cheeks: Fleurry blush (soft peach-pink), Redhead mineralize skinfinish (copper-bronze highlighter)
Lips: All’s Fair lipstick (berry pink), Live & Dye lipglass (pastel pink)
Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 214 (flat, stubby brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush)
Substitutes: Flip = Goldmine + Nylon; French Cuff = Mythology; 100 Strokes = Sketch; Feline = Graphblack; Fleurry = Foolish Me; Redhead = Soft & Gentle; All’s Fair = Sweetie; Live & Dye = Love Nectar

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Your Ladyship pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Flip eyeshadow using the 239. Apply French Cuff eyeshadow to the middle/outer portion of the lid. Darken crease with 100 Strokes eyeshadow using the 239. Sweep Femme-fi underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Feline kohl power on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Fleurry blush and Redhead MSF using the 129. Apply All’s Fair lipstick to lips, and then top with Live and Dye lipglass for color and shine.

Who doesn’t love a Mellan photo? OK, don’t answer that. I ordered a bunch more of the large rawhide holiday bones since they were 50% off. It’s hard to resist the size of these at $5 a pop. He knew exactly what was in the box as soon the UPS man pushed it through the door, ha!

Here’s one last Chill look before we all forget about Chill and move onto Dame Edna next week! I thought I’d do something really simple — it’s basically three eyeshadows and that’s it, which is a huge deal for me, as I’m sure many of you know. I wanted to try out some new YSL lip products I got, but unfortunately the combo was just a lil’ too bright for this look, so it was Naked Frost to the rescue to help tone it down (which worked beautifully!).

Happy holidays to those who have had or will have them to celebrate this season! I hope everyone has gotten a chance to spend some quality time with their loved ones and friends. My boyfriend, Mellan, and I head up to see my parents and sister in an hour or two (basically… as soon as start and finish getting ready, LOL) for the day. We’ll be back there for Christmas, as well.

Today is Magellan’s 1st birthday — he is exactly one year old today. He doesn’t seem like he’s an “adult”, but most lab owners say lab puppyhood lasts at least two years, sometimes all their lives My mom has lots of treats and goodies baked for him, I’m sure, plus he has several gifts under the tree with his paw on it, so I think he’ll have a good birthday and make out like a bandit! My mom completely adores and utterly *spoils* him everytime he visits! I thought I’d share a little timeline of Magellan over the past year along with the look — I can’t be the only one who loves cute puppies, LOL!

You will need the following…

Eyes: Your Ladyship pigment (neutral base), Wintersky eyeshadow (medium, subdued pink), Mont Black eyeshadow (black), Shroom eyeshadow (highlighter), Graphblack technakohl (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
Cheeks: Dior Rose Diamond Skin Shimmer (soft pink)
Lips: YSL Romantic Pink Lipstick (medium pink), YSL #4 Gloss Pur (bright pink), Naked Frost lipglass (taupe)
Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
Substitutes: Your Ladyship = Vanilla; Wintersky = Pink Venus; Naked Frost = Chai

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Your Ladyship pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. Apply Wintersky eyeshadow all over the lid with the 239 brush. Darken the outer crease with Mont Black eyeshadow with the 239, gently tugging and blending so it also darkens the outermost portion of the lid to a gray-black. Finish with Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Rose Diamond shimmer using the 129. Apply YSL Romantic Pink lipstick to lips, and then top with YSL #4 Gloss Pur for color and shine, then tone it down with Naked Frost lipglass.

Looks – Still Noticeable, but Somewhat Subtle Purples

The air tour was a really great once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing, because you really do get to see some amazing sights that aren’t easily seen by car. Unfortunately, I spent most of the tour motion sick, LOL. I kept my eyes open and still watched, but I don’t think I’d do it again, just because I felt so awful I’m hoping when we do the Zipline that I don’t experience any of that. Ahh, I get motion sick playing video games and just standing in the ocean, I should have known better and have taken some Dramamine ;P Today, we head up to the north shore, and my sister and I are going on an “Ocean Bluff” horseback ride. I’ve never been horseback riding, so I hope it goes well! I don’t even know if I’ve even been up close to a horse. I’ve ridden an elephant (I don’t remember it) and a camel (I remember that!) before… should be fun

Lips: Fun Fun lipstick (cool, pale pink), Cult Fave lipglass (pink)
Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
Substitutes: Your Ladyship – Vanilla; Thunder = Shale; Don’t Be Shy = Well Dressed; Fun Fun = Snob; Cult Fave = Florabundancce

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Your Ladyship pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. Apply Thunder eyeshadow to inner third of the lid using the 239 brush. Follow by applying Stars N Rockets eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken outer lid with Parfait Amour eyeshadow, then drag color into outer crease to deepen, using the 239. Soften harsh lines with Thunder eyeshadow swept above crease. Highlight brow with Ricepaper eyeshadow. Line lower lash line with UD 24/7 Rockstar Pencil. Sweep apples of cheeks with Don’t Be Shy blush using the 129. Apply Fun Fun lipstick to lips, and then top with Cult Fave lipglass for color and shine.

Looks – Wide Open Peepers with Purple Pop

You know, I had a real struggle trying to figure out the right lips for this look! I loved the eyes, though. I actually did the cheeks first, then the eyes, and left the lips for last (which is usual for me). I still wasn’t convinced this was the right lip combo, but I was at a loss as to what else instead. What would you have done?

I used Your Ladyship pigment (LE) on lid, Rose Blanc eyeshadow (LE) all over lid, Climate Blue eyeshadow (LE) on outer crease, Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow in crease, Parfait Amour eyeshadow on outer lid, Rose Blanc eyeshadow (LE) on lower lash line and inner crease, Shroom eyeshadow on brow, Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Don’t Be Shy blush (LE) on cheeks with Lightly Lilac beauty powder (PRO) to highlight. I wore Florabundi lipstick (LE) with Cult Fave lipglass (LE) on my lips.
