MAC Beiges, Whites, Highlighter Eyeshadow Swatches

This finishes up all of the swatches I have of permanent eyeshadows – I will try to purchase the shades I do not own soon and get those swatches up as well.

Dazzlelight is a soft beige white with a hint of warmth. It has a veluxe pearl finish. The color payoff is good with a soft, smooth texture. It is similar to Bare Escentuals Serendipitous. It’s kind of like MAC Brule in a frosted form.
Mylar is an ivory white with a mostly matte finish. It has a satin finish. It can look a little chalky because of its finish and color, though the payoff is good and application is smooth. It is similar to Inglot #351.
Phloof! is a light pinky-beige with a frost finish. It has good color payoff and applies smoothly. It is a little less warm compared to theBalm Hiii-Yaaa!.
Vanilla is a soft, creamy light beige with a nearly matte finish. It has a velvet finish. It’s very soft and easy to work with and has good pigmentation. It is similar to Inglot #353.
Vellum is an iridescent white with bluish-violet shimmer-sheen. It has a lustre finish. The color payoff is decent but not great, though the uniqueness of the shade tends to make it worth the effort.
Vex is a grayish-beige-pink with a tinge of olive-green to it. It has a frost finish. It has good color payoff, and it’s one of the more unique shades by MAC. Bare Escentual’s Urban Nature cream eyeshadow is similar.

White Frost is a shimmery soft white with poor color payoff, though it still has a smooth feel. It has a frost finish.

	If you use these more as highlighters, then decent color payoff isn't so bad, because you don't necessarily one a really opaque white highlighter either. The texture on this set was good overall.

Bright Makeup: Sky Blues

I got the BLUES! At least, when it comes to the next week… because it’s study, study, STUDY! I feel like my focus is off, too, which is very annoying and frustrating. I managed to get through one outline yesterday, and today, I hope to get through another today… and then start memorizing both!

You will need the following…

• Eyes: MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (neutral beige base), MAC Frost Pigment (teal), MAC Vellum Eyeshadow (white with purple flash), MAC Sky Blue Eyeshadow (PRO) (sky blue), MAC Winkle Eyeshadow (periwinkle blue), MAC Atlantic Blue Eyeshadow (PRO) (brightened dark blue), MAC Electric Eel Eyeshadow (bright blue), MAC Shroom Eyeshadow (highlighter), YSL Oriental Blue Dessin du Regard Eyeliner (navy blue), YSL Turquoise Dessin du Regard Eyeliner (teal), MAC NC15/NW20 Chromagraphic Pencil (nude), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
• Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140)
• Cheeks: Dolce & Gabbana Peach Blush (soft beige-pink), Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer (golden highlight)
• Lips: Cle de Peau #101 Extra Silky Lipstick (coral), MAC C-Thru Lipglass (creamy nude), Guerlain Brit Rouge G Lipstick, Guerlain #01 Terracotta Gloss (sheer champagne)
• Brushes: 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
• Substitutes: N/A

For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. With the 239 and water-based mixing medium (or water), apply Frost pigment all over the lid area. Using the 239, apply Vellum eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Sky Blue eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Winkle eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Lightly blend Atlantic Blue eyeshadow, with the 226, into the outer crease and corner. Define the crease by sweeping Electric Eel eyeshadow into the lower crease with the 219. Lightly tap and brush Vellum eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Shroom eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Oriental Blue eyeliner on the outer half of the lower lash line and Turquoise eyeliner on the inner half of the lower lash line. Apply NC15/NW20 pencil on the lower waterline to make eyes pop. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Peach blush to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116. Then, highlight cheekbones by sweeping Amber Diamond with the 165.

For lips, apply #101 lipstick first, and then layer C-thru lipiglass for a complementing lip. An alternative lip could be created by first applying Brit lipstick layered with #01 gloss.

I did this look two days ago, and I really liked how it came out! But it’s hard for me to resist blues and making them smoky and dark.

You will need the following…

• Eyes: Bell Bottom Blue pigment (navy blue base), Vellum eyeshadow (duochrome white), Arctic Grey eyeshadow (light silver), Mont Black eyeshadow (black), Penultimate Liner (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
• Cheeks: Enough Said blush (soft peach)
• Lips: Up Note lipstick (beige nude), Naked Frost lipglass (taupe)
• Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
• Substitutes: Bell Bottom Blue = Navy Blue; Arctic Grey = Electra; Mont Black = Black Tied; Enough Said = Bronzer; Up Note = Cherish; Naked Frost = Mad Cap

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Bell Bottom Blue pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Vellum eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Arctic Grey eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Mont Black packed on and drag into crease using the 239. Darken crease with Mont Black eyeshadow using the 239. Sweep Vellum underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Penultimate Liner on upper lash line, Vellum eyeshadow on lower lash line (use the 219), and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Enough Said blush using the 129. Apply Up Note lipstick to lips, and then top with Naked Frost lipglass for color and shine.
