Swimming eyeshadow is a shimmery/glitter medium green. It’s a really great staple color to have, because its lightness in color makes it versatile. The only part they could improve on is by not making it a lustre finish!
Humid eyeshadow is an absolute must-have for anyone who wants to try their hand at a smokey green eye. Humid is a rich, pigmented deep green. It’s more of a forest green than an emerald green. The finish and texture are easy to work with, making this shadow extremely blendable.
Juxt eyeshadow is a light, pastel green. It’s not a cool green, but a slightly warmed up green. It’s kind of yellow-based, which is probably why it has noticeable warmth to its tone. It makes for an excellent all-over-the-lid color or even as a subtle highlighter when using other greens.

8 Ways to Wear MAC Sumptuous Olive Eyeshadow
Smoked out with black. Try wearing Sumptuous Olive all over the lid, perhaps even on top of a deep green/black base for extra drama. Darken the crease with a matte black eyeshadow like Carbon to really make it sultry and dark. Line with a bright gold kohl or ultra black gel liner as desired. Highlight browbone with your favorite neutral shade like Nylon or Vanilla.
With golds. Sumptuous Olive has great flecks of gold tones to its color, which makes it a perfect color to pair with other bright, warm-toned golds like Goldmine eyeshadow. Try Goldmine all over the lid with Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow in the crease, or add Humid eyeshadow to brighten up the greens. Finish look by adding a pop of gold color to the inner tearduct and/or lower lash line. Highlight browbone with your favorite neutral shade like Nylon or Vanilla.
Try warm warm browns. Wear an antique brown like Woodwinked eyeshadow or Patina eyeshadow on the lid with Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow in the crease to add depth. Bring a little Woodwinked to the outer third of the lower lash line to tie look together. Highlight browbone with your favorite neutral shade like Nylon or Vanilla.
Smudgy liner. Try wearing Goldmine eyeshadow all over the lid with Antiqued eyeshadow in the crease. Something simple, but warm with golds and browns. Line your lower lash line (whether it’s the entire area or just half or a third–whatever your preference is!) with Sumptuous Olive. You could even mix in a bit of Goldmine eyeshadow to brighten the color. Highlight browbone with your favorite neutral shade like Nylon or Vanilla.

I didn’t love this look as far as green looks go (not enough dimension), but at least I tried a different lip combo — you know, not something traditionally medium coral! My weekend is a bit of a bummer, so I hope yours is way better! I didn’t realize it until Wednesday in class, but I have an accounting midterm on Monday — so off to study group I go today for a few hours. Of course, more studying on Sunday and Monday 😉 My only reprieve seems to be dinner with my parents to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. Boo!!
What are your weekend plans? Let me live through you vicariously!

I used Your Ladyship pigment on lid, Juxt eyeshadow on inner lid, Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow on middle of lid, Greensmoke eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Humid eyeshadow on outer lid, Juxt eyeshadow above crease, Daisychain eyeshadow on brow, Juxt eyeshadow on inner lower lash line, Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow on outer lower lash line, and Feline kohl power on lower lash line. I wore Springsheen blush with Drizzlegold beauty powder on cheeks to highlight and Sculpt sculpting powder to contour. I had Thrills lipstick with Glamoursun lipglass on my lips.
