You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion (base), MAC Juxt eyeshadow (pastel green), Urban Decay Shakedown eyeshadow (gray-olive), Urban Decay Protest eyeshadow (olive green), MAC Humid eyeshadow (forest green), MAC Femme-fi eyeshadow (highlighter), DuWop Eye Intesifier (black), Presriptives Blue Grotto (teal-green), MAC Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: MAC Fleurry blush (soft peachy pink), MAC Sheerbronze Sheersheen Powder (bronze)
  • Lips: Thrills lipstick (metallic coral), Moonbathe lipglass (melon-pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Shakedown = Femme Noir; Protest = Sumptuous Olive; Fleurry = Foolish Me; Thrills = CB96; Moonbathe = Love Nectar

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner-to-middle lid, apply Juxt eyeshadow using the 239. Apply UD Shakedown eyeshadow to the middle of the lid, overlaying it with Juxt. Darken the outer lid using UD Protest eyeshadow and drag into crease using the 239. Use Juxt eyeshadow to soften the crease with the 239. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with DuWop Eye Intesifier overlaying it with Prescriptives Blue Grotto on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Fleurry using the 129, then highlight with Sheerbronze with the 187. Apply Thrills lipstick to lips, and then top with Moonbathe lipglass for color and shine.

What’s great is that it seems impossible to prepare for, so while I have some prepared remarks, I’m mostly going to wing it. Thankfully, tonight is practice, and I’m banking on it being a huge learning experience so I don’t make a total fool out of myself next Wednesday when I do it for real (in front of real judges!!–but the case is fake). Court attire required at the practice, nonethelesss, hence needing to do work safe makeup for real! (I have a feeling this may be “too much” by court standards, though. Poo!)

I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow all over lid, Brun eyeshadow in outer crease, Soft Brown eyeshadow in outer crease, Patina eyeshadow on outer lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow and lower lash line, Blacktrack fluidline on upper and lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush with Scult sculpting powder on cheeks. I wore Mari-sheeno lipstick (LE) with Moonbathe lipglass (LE) on my lips.

Macro makeup shots are not kind! I swear, I have my nose to the mirror, and the liner looks IMMACULATE! it’s totally even, straight, not a jagged bit in sight… but then when I’m in Photoshop to crop the photos, what do I see? Liner that’s kind of uneven! GRR.  Tried going for a more dramatic and noticeable crease today! :)   Overall, I liked the subtly of the lid color with the bolder crease and lash line colors!

It’s almost Friday!  I hope you have some fun Friday/weekend plans coming up!  My grandma is coming into town on Saturday, but then I’ll be spending my Sunday researching and writing an appellate brief for summer school (so fun! totally!).  What’s on your agenda for the weekend?
