Headin’ to Vegas this weekend! Don’t think that means I won’t be bloggin’! Trust me, there is no such thing as a pure vacation for me. The idea of not blogging is blasphemy!! So here’s a quick look for you from this morning. (Yes, I should have left for the airport about 3 minutes ago!)

Happy 4th! Safe & happy weekend :D

I have my practice oral argument, which is basically where I speak for eight minutes, then my opponent argues against me, and then I have another two minutes for rebuttal. What’s great is that it seems impossible to prepare for, so while I have some prepared remarks, I’m mostly going to wing it. Thankfully, tonight is practice, and I’m banking on it being a huge learning experience so I don’t make a total fool out of myself next Wednesday when I do it for real (in front of real judges!!–but the case is fake). Court attire required at the practice, nonethelesss, hence needing to do work safe makeup for real! (I have a feeling this may be “too much” by court standards, though. Poo!)

I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow all over lid, Brun eyeshadow in outer crease, Soft Brown eyeshadow in outer crease, Patina eyeshadow on outer lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow and lower lash line, Blacktrack fluidline on upper and lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush with Scult sculpting powder on cheeks. I wore Mari-sheeno lipstick (LE) with Moonbathe lipglass (LE) on my lips.

I did this look ridiculously fast — like 5 minutes for the entire face (and to take photos!), and that included originally attempting to use Green Space pigment, hating it, and removing the eye makeup and re-doing it. (We were running late for a lunch with my Mom & sister.)

I used Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid, Goldmine eyeshadow on the inner lid, Patina eyeshadow on middle of lid, Satin Taupe eyeshadow on outer crease and lid, Femme-fi eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Graphblack techakohl on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore Margin blush on cheeks. I had By Degrees slimshine (LE) on lips with Prestigious lipglass (LE) on my lips.

By Degrees = Captive; Prestigious = Venetian

I really, really like this look. It is pretty similar to the look I did for my sister’s high school graduation a few days ago. I don’t normally repeat looks so close together, but since yesterday was Father’s Day, and I know my dad isn’t big on makeup… neutral it was!

What are some of your favorite neutral looks?

P.S. – I am so happy with my eyebrows — they are just about the thickness that I have been working on for the past two months.

I used Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid, Nylon eyeshadow on lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on middle of lid, Warming Trend eyeshadow (LE) on outer lid, Satin Taupe eyeshadow above crease, Bronze eyeshadow in outer crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Nylon eyeshadow on lower lash line, Blacktrack fluidline on upper and lower lash lines, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush with Dior Amber Diamond SkinShimmer on cheeks. I wore High 90s slimshine (LE) with Nymphette lipglass on my lips.
