MAC Luxurious Pink Lip Look Bag ($39.50) contains Lickable (lipstick, bright, clean blue pink), Call Me Gorgeous (Cremesheen Glass, bright fuchsia with gold pearl), and Great Catch (lip pencil, bright cream fuchsia).
The lipstick is 0.10 oz. (full-sized), Cremesheen Glass is 0.09 oz. (full-sized), and the lip pencil is 0.02 oz. (full-sized is 0.05 oz.). The value of the three products is $40.50, and then you also get a vinyl bag with leopard-print and pink satin that peeks through it.
Call Me Gorgeous is a blue-based, medium magenta pink with gold shimmer. It has semi-opaque color coverage and while it settles slightly into lip lines, it isn’t noticeable at a distance. MAC Full Speed Ahead is more opaque and a little cooler-toned. MAC Sassy Lassy is a lot lighter. MAC True Babe is more blue-based. YSL Pure Hibiscus is similar but has no shimmer.
Great Catch is a dark fuchsia-red with a modern matte finish (barest of sheens, but still, mostly matte).
When layered together, the result is a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with sparkle and a glossy sheen. The whole combination wore for seven hours, though the glossy sheen wore off within an hour. There was a slight stain left behind. MAC really delivered on a luxurious pink lip look here.
I wish Cremesheens worked better on me! Lickable lasts six hours on its own, and while I didn’t experience hydration, I didn’t find it particularly drying, which was a nice surprise (I usually find Cremesheens slightly drying!). It does pull a little at lips when you go to apply the color, but it does eventually apply more fluidly as the temperature of your lips heat it up. Call Me Gorgeous wore for two hours when I tested it, which is short for wear. Great Catch wears long and well, but again, it’s not a very comfortable formula on its own as it tends to cling to lips and doesn’t add any moisture.
MAC really delivered on a luxurious pink lip look here! All three products have good color payoff, and while Cremesheens can be drying on me, Lickable was neither drying nor hydrating. Call Me Gorgeous wears off quickly, which may or may not be a deal-breaker for you.

MAC Lavish Coral Lip Look Bag ($39.50) contains Shy Girl (lipstick, creamy neutral coral beige), Kiss Me Softly (Cremesheen Glass, soft peach with gold pearl), and Boldly Bare (lip pencil, dirty red brown).
Shy Girl is a warm peach with very subtle golden shimmer and has a natural sheen. It has a Cremesheen finish, and it is part of the permanent range. MAC Gotta Dash is brighter, lighter. YSL Tender Peach is more opaque and peachier, while YSL Peach Passion is pinker and more opaque. Illamasqua Brink is brighter, more orange. MAC Fashion City is more orange.
Kiss Me Softly is a warm peach-beige with barely-there golden shimmer. On lips, it yields semi-sheer color coverage and does settle into lip lines a bit. I didn’t notice the settling too much from a distance. Chanel Mystery is darker. MAC Persistent Peach is pinker and more opaque. Chanel Genie is more orange. MAC Mimmy is similar. MAC Celestial Kiss is darker orange.
Boldly Bare is a subdued, medium orange-brown with a matte finish. The texture is true-to-form; it’s creamy enough to apply on lips, but it doesn’t smudge or move once you’ve applied it (even initially).
When you layer all three products, you can achieve a light-medium orange peach with a glossy sheen and not much shimmer–it looks very creamy. I would argue that this set is more peach than it is coral. It’s just peach, peach, and more peach (and brown). If you were hoping for a true coral, you might want to check out some of MAC’s permanent products (Crosswires comes to mind).
I, unfortunately, do not have a fully positive experience with the Cremesheen formula–I find them drying and Shy Girl isn’t an exception (I actually reviewed it just this past April). It’s somewhat drying, and while it has the word “Creme” in the name, it does tug and pull at the lips a little. After a few swipes, it’s easier to apply (I think they do better at warmer temperatures). It lasted for just over there hours on me. Kiss Me Softly lasted a measly hour when I tested it, which is consistent with the Cremesheen Glass formula, but it’s still a really quick-to-leave-you gloss. Boldly Bare wears like iron, but it’s not a product that I can wear on its own; it’s a little dry and uncomfortable by itself. When I wore all three together, the combination lasted six hours, though the glossiness had faded after an hour and a half.
If you have good experiences with Cremesheen finishes and Cremesheen Glasses, this bag will definitely work better for you than it did me! I know that for some, these are favorite finishes/products.

MAC Divine Desire Paramour Pink Kit ($70.00) contains Divine Desire (blush, bright pink), Heart to Heart (lipstick, mid-tone yellow pink), Warm Embrace (lipglass, cool rosy pink with pearl), Purple Dash (Technakohl, intense aubergine), and 129SE (blush brush).
The blush is 0.09 oz. (not full-size, it is about the size of the larger MAC eyeshadow pots), lipglass is 0.17 oz. (full-sized), lipstick is 0.10 oz. (full-sized), and eyeliner is 0.012 oz. (full-sized). The kit contains $53.00 worth of product, excluding the brush. The full-sized 129 retails for $35. The price point of this kit is rather high, and I don’t think that they’re really delivering on value here; at most, you’re getting what you pay for, but it’s not a value kit. Even if we give the brush $20 value, you’re only saving $3 by purchasing everything together. The whole set is housed in a pink satin container with a glossy black trim and bow at the enclosure. You could use it as a very small clutch later on, as the plastic insert is removable. If it’s packaging you would reuse, then this set has more value to you than the products alone.
Divine Desire is a cool-toned, medium pink with a shimmer-sheen finish. It has a frost finish. The texture was soft and blendable, and it lasted for eight hours without fading on my cheeks. MAC Whole Lotta Love is warmer, less blue-based. MAC Supernova is darker, pinker. MAC Weekend Getaway is a bit pinker. Tom Ford Wicked is very similar–it has a bit more of a pink sheen. MAC Feeling Flush is a bit darker.
Heart to Heart is a coral-pink with a soft, frosted sheen. It has a Cremesheen finish. This shade lasted five hours on me, but it was a little drying (Cremesheens typically are drying for me). Chanel Enjouee is darker. Guerlain Gracy is darker and brighter. MAC Force of Love is pinker. MAC Watch Me Simmer is very close, perhaps a smidgen brighter. Wet ‘n’ Wild Hot Paris Pink is similar. Chanel Phoenix has a little more red in it.
Warm Embrace is a soft, yellow-toned light pink with subtle shimmer. It yields semi-opaque color coverage, and it lasted for three and a half hours on my lips. NARS Candy Says is pinker. Chanel Caprice has gold shimmer. MAC Razzledazzler is creamier.
Purple Dash is an eggplant purple that doesn’t have a strong red undertone. There is subtle gold sparkle and a gentle sheen. It’s weak on color, and even when layered, it doesn’t build well or evenly. Make Up For Ever #4l is similar.
129SE is a dense, slightly domed blush brush. Overall, it is okay; it’s a little scratchier than the full-sized 129, but the 129 isn’t the best blush brush (not the softest, it’s a bit rough on skin). It felt softer before I washed it; once I washed it a few times, I found it shed noticeably and felt scratchy against my skin. I didn’t even realize it came with a brush until I read the press release to get the official color descriptions! In case, you, too, haven’t discovered it, the brush is held in the pouch attached to the interior of the lid.
Three of the four color products worked well. Purple Dash isn’t as opaque in a single pass as it could be, and it doesn’t build up color well–and it’s a problem that a lot of purple eyeliners suffer from. The lipstick and blush were excellent, while the lipgloss was good.
It's a good kit, but compared to a lot of holiday offerings, it may not have enough value packed into it to merit the $70 price tag. Purple Dash was disappointing, though expected since I've reviewed it before!

For Those Who Love Non-Traditional Holiday Lip Color
MAC Glamour Daze Lipsticks ($16.50 for 0.10 oz.) are available in five shades: Beauty (pale cool pink), Dramatic Encounter (deep purple), Glamourdaze (mid-tone creamy plum), Innocence (soft coral), and Outrageously Fun (mid-tone magenta violet).
Beauty is a light, cool-toned pink with a soft frosted finish, though it is officially a glaze finish by MAC. It’s more of a gray-ish pink than a blue-based one. The light color paired with the finish really accentuated the texture of my lips in a way I felt made them look very dry. The color coverage was mostly opaque. When I wore this shade, it lasted for three hours, and I tried wearing it back-to-back, and I found it slightly drying. MAC Lazy Sunday is a bit pinker, creamier. MAC You’re Perfect Already is warmer, pinker. MAC Annemiek is cooler-toned, sheerer. Chanel Candeur is similar, just a sheerer formula. MAC Double Spin is even cooler-toned. MAC Mlle is extremely similar.
Dramatic Encounter is a dark, burgundy red with faint burgundy shimmer. It’s mostly opaque in color, and it has an amplified finish. MAC describes it as deep purple, but it’s more wine–a lot of red in this shade. This shade lasted for six hours on me, and it was neither drying nor hydrating; I did see some very faint feathering along the upper left edge of my lip after three and a half hours. The texture was very slick–almost wet in a way–creamy but thin. Chanel L’Impatiente is redder, lighter. MAC Hang Up is a bit redder, more berry–makes this shade look brown-ish. MAC Endless Drama is a smidgen redder.
Glamourdaze is a subdued plummy red with a glossy sheen. It has a Cremesheen finish and opaque color coverage. It had a slightly stiff consistently–much like the Cremesheen finish tends to be, which I just don’t find to be creamy. It wore for five hours, and it was neither drying nor hydrating. MAC Offshoot is a smidgen pinker. CoverGirl Fervor is a little more intense. Cle de Peau #117 is very similar. Dior Raspberry is also similar. MAC Capricious is lighter, pinker.
Innocence is a light-medium coral with warm undertones and a delicate golden peach frosted shimmer. It has opaque color, and it has a frost finish–and it’s extremely frosted. Like Beauty, the lighter color paired with the high frost finish tended to make lips appear drier. It wore for four hours and was somewhat drying. MAC Coral Bliss is darker, pinker, less frosted. MAC Cut a Caper is darker, pinker. NARS Bolero is a smidgen pinker but close in color.
Outrageously Fun is a blue-based magenta pink with a natural sheen. It has opaque color coverage, and it has a Cremesheen finish. There are a lot of fuchsias on the market, but what will make this one stand out (at least, somewhat) is it is very magenta and cool-toned–less pink than it is magenta. It lasted four hours on my lips, and it was a smidgen drying. Chanel Extatique is pinker, iridescent. OCC Nylon is infinitely brighter. MAC Dear Diary is darker, brighter. MAC Candy Yum Yum is darker, brighter as well. MAC Pink Pigeon is deeper, matte. Chanel Kensington is pinker.
Glamourdaze was the best performer out of the five, because it wore well and didn’t dry out lips. Beauty and Innocence were the more problematic of the shades, while I did encounter feathering with Dramatic Encounter, so you may want to be prepared to use a lip liner with that particular shade–very few products bleed/feather, so I am a bit concerned. Outrageously Fun is, well, fun; aside from the slightly drying result, it’s a nice alternative to some of the recently released neon magenta shades.
There are some great colors here, but the formulas aren't the best-of-the-best (and not the best of MAC, overall). I imagine that the two that will resonate well with most will be Glamourdaze and Outrageously Fun.

MAC Marilyn Monroe Lipsticks ($16.50 for 0.10 oz.) includes five shades: Charmed, I’m Sure (dark true red), Deeply Adored (deep scarlet), Love Goddess (mid-tone pink red), Pure Zen (frosted warm nude), and Scarlet Ibis (bright orange red). The latter two are repromotes.
Love Goddess is a brightened, pink-red with a satin finish. It has opaque color coverage and applies evenly and smoothly. This shade wore for six hours. Tarina Tarantino Fuchsia Lining is lighter. Guerlain Girly is pinker. MAC Gesina is very similar. Chanel Emotive is lighter.
MAC Lipsticks are vanilla-scented but taste-free. The matte shades in this launch are like the more recent matte launches–creamy, smooth, easy to apply, and opaque. They have a subtle sheen that wears away after an hour or so and results in a true matte finish. I haven’t had the time yet to test all of these shades, but I plan to do so today and tomorrow and will update with wear times. Shades like Charmed, I’m Sure and Deeply Adored tend to wear six hours or so, and they have a tendency to stain as well. Pure Zen was slightly drying, which is typical of my experience with the Cremesheen finish. Scarlet Ibis was neither drying nor hydrating. Love Goddess was just a bit hydrating for a few hours.
Keep in mind, online retailers like Nordstrom, Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Bloomingdale’s will also launch the collection online. These retailers typically launch close in time to the in-store release date (October 4th).
Four of the five shades are solid shades; Pure Zen was drying on me over time, but this is what I tend to experience with Cremesheens and I know some readers find it hydrating on the whole.

MAC Yung Rapunxel Lipstick ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “deep plum” with an amplified finish. It’s a dark, vampy purple with red undertones and semi-opaque color coverage. Urban Decay Apocalypse is slightly redder. MAC Fervent is purpler. MAC Smoked Purple is more opaque, so it appears darker and the red undertones are subtler. NARS Train Bleu is more opaque, slightly darker.
It’s a collaboration color with Azealia Banks for Fashion’s Night Out. I just received this yesterday afternoon, and MAC’s website is really the only place the majority of people can access it (it is available at all NYC MAC stores, however)–right now, it says out of stock, but it also says “shipping soon” and allows you to add it to your bag. It looks a bit more like a stain, because it’s not totally opaque, but it also looks somewhat uneven. The consistency is creamy and thin (feels a little like a glaze in that regard). It lasted five hours, and it did stain slightly. MAC’s lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.
I'm not keen on the unevenness of the color when applied; it's interesting to see this type of color in a slightly less intense way, but the unevenness hurts the end result.
