MAC Tour de Fabulous may sound new, but it’s actually MAC Glamglass. The collection was renamed, and I imagine the reason is that all of the shades that were going to come out of Glamglass (a new formula) have been made as the Lipglass formula. There are also eight lip pencils, and all of the lipglasses and lip pencils are limited edition as far as I know, but there’s no official press release so it’s been just a touch confusing to say the least! This collection is slated to launch in-stores on December 26th. I am missing Check This Out & Fabulously Fab!, which I am working on getting soon!
MAC Outrage Lipglass ($22.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is described as a “sheer berry with blue pearl.” It’s kind of a dirty berry with hints of brown and gold and green shimmer. It looks duochrome in the tube, and it definitely looks different depending on the color–at least in the tube. On lips, it darkens and slightly tints my natural lip color while adding a lot of gold and green-gold shimmer. The closest dupe I could think of was MAC Boys Go Crazy, but it doesn’t have that greenish shimmer. MAC Jealous has the greenish shimmer but not the berry color.
MAC Fall Colour Lipglasses ($14.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) includes four shades: C-Thru (peachy beige with shimmer), Good Times (pale mauve), Orange Tempera (pale peach), and Pink Fade (pale pink). These are part of the MAC Fall Colour Collection, which debuts in North America on September 29th, 2011 and rolls out internationally in October. C-Thru is part of the permanent collection, the other three are limited edition.
There are seven shades of MAC Lipglass ($14.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) launched with MAC Me Over. They include: Curvaceous (light grey pink), Good Times (pale mauve), Illicit (creamy neutral pink), Plum Fun (neutral plum with purple pearlized pigments), Social Light (neutral pink with pearlized pigments), Spite (muted plum taupe brown), and The Wee Coquette (naked neutral pink).
Available online only for U.S./Canada on June 21st, here are photos and swatches of the five lipglasses included in the collection. Each will retail for $14.50 and be available for a limited time. For official information, please check out the launch post. I am not reviewing or rating this collection because I do not feel it would be the right thing to do.
MAC Surf Baby Lipglases ($15.50 for 0.17 oz.) include four shades: Girl on Board (pale white gold), Good Lovin’ (soft peachy pink), Krazy Kahuna (warm mid-tone brown), and Strange Potion (soft coral pink).
