Look – Darker Neutrals with Gold Mode

I really, really liked this look! I’ve been totally loving more neutral looks, but I can’t let myself forget about all the beautiful colors I have in my palettes. If I had any holiday parties to go to this year, I think I’d do something similar to this!

How’s everyone doing today? What have you got planned for today? I spent all day at my mom’s house yesterday, so I have some catching up to do today here at my apartment. But hopefully I’ll have some time to maybe wrap a few gifts today

You will need the following…

Eyes: Gold Mode pigment (coppery-gold base), Rose Blanc eyeshadow (soft gold), Patina eyeshadow (cool antique gold-brown), Woodwinked eyeshadow (coppery-brown), Bronze eyeshadow (dark brown), Make Up For Ever Bronze Aqua Eyes Liner (dark gold), Plushlash mascara (black)
Cheeks: Enough Said blush (soft peach)
Lips: Fast Thrill lipstick (medium pink with shimmer), Calvin Klein Taffy Lip Gloss (pink with gold shimmer)
Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
Substitutes: Gold Mode = Indianwood; Rose Blanc = Nylon; Enough Said = bronzer; Fast Thrill = Bombshell

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Gold Mode pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Rose Blanc eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Patina eyeshadow to the middle and outer portion of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Woodwinked eyeshadow and drag into crease using the 239. Darken crease with Bronze eyeshadow using the 239. Sweep Rose Blanc underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with MUFE Bronze Aqua Eyes Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Enough Said blush using the 129. Apply Fast Thrill lipstick to lips, and then top with CK Taffy Lip Gloss for color and shine.

Looks – Colour Forms Tea Time Reddish Bronze Natural Look

Yesterday, I picked up the few items that I purchased from Colour Forms (Tea Time & Gilded Green pigments and the Suncentered powder). I LOVE SUNCENTERED!! This is so gorgeous. I think I saw a few people mention it didn’t show up no them–I’m NC30, and it showed up PERFECTLY. It’s this gorgeous sunny peachy orange that goes on with a subtle sheen. I used the 129 brush to apply it, and I achieved to-die-for results. Really, I think this is gorgeous and flattering in a natural way. I suppose Nuance might be a decent dupe, though, with the same kind of feel and finish. Anyway, not disappointed with it in the least bit.

I also managed to stick to mantra of “practical shoes only.” I picked up those Nikes I talked about yesterday, and they are ridiculously comfortable. If they stay super comfy, I will definitely pick up a second pair (since they’re on sale) for when I’m through with these. (I’m one of those people who will stock up on their “staple” shoes, LOL; because you never know when they’ll be discontinued or whatever!)

P.S. – That $50 gloss I purchased? NARS Orgasm gloss is a very close dupe – it’s not as luxe or as pigmented, but it’ll do when I run out. Nymphette is too light, and it’s not pink enough. Major Minor was nowhere near it.

I used Tea Time pigment (LE) on lid, Say Yeah eyeshadow (LE) on lid, Beautyburst eyeshadow (LE) on middle of lid, Bronze eyeshadow on outer lid, Satin Taupe eyeshadow on outer crease, Femme-fi eyeshadow (LE) on brow to highlight, Rich Ground fluidline on lower lash line and upper lash line, Graphblack technakohl on lower water line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore Suncentered Colour Forms Powder (LE) on cheeks. I had Fast Thrill lipstick (LE) with Nymphette lipglass on my lips.

Looks – Fresh Green Mix with Dainty Is Lovely

I tried out Fresh Green Mix yesterday over Cash Flow paint pot – interesting combo. I think I will try the same duo today, but over a green base instead. I LOVE Dainty – anyone who thinks it isn’t pigmented enough for deeper skintones is nuts. Totally popped on my cheeks (I’m NC30) with EASE. I used the 129 brush (finally have a use for it!), and it worked like a dream.

I used Cash Flow paint pot on lid, Fresh Green Mix mineralize eyeshadow duo (solid side) (LE) all over lid, Fresh Green Mix mineralize eyeshadow duo (marbled side) (LE) on outer crease and lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease and on brow to highlight, Fresh Green Mix mineralize eyeshadow duo (solid side) (LE) on lower lash line, Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Dainty mineralize blush on cheeks. I wore Fast Thrill lipstick (LE) with Politely Pink lipglass (LE) on my lips.
