MAC Semi-Precious Cremesheen Glass Swatches, Photos, Reviews
MAC Semi-Precious Cremesheen Glass ($18.50 for 0.08 oz.) includes five, limited edition shades: Geo Pink (strawberry pink), Looks Like Sin (mid-tone reddish plum), Natural Flare (light caramel nude), Pure Magnificence (light grey pink), and Richly Revered (deep brown plum).
Geo Pink is a semi-opaque, orange-coral with soft, white-pink shimmer. I really don’t get “strawberry pink” with this. It’s much brighter and more orange-based than anything else. I even double-checked, but it’s really this orange on me. It’s like a richer, deeper MAC Fold and Tuck and rather comparable to MAC So Bad.
Looks Like Sin is a sheer plum with a glossy sheen. This is a repromoted shade. I couldn’t think of dupes for this shade.
Pure Magnificence is a sheer, milky pastel pink with a cool undertone. I can see why MAC Described this as a “grey pink.” Urban Decay Peroxide is a little bluer-based but similar in overall look. MAC Boy Bait also seems like it would be rather similar to this.
Richly Revered is a semi-sheer, dark, vampy plum-red with a glossy shine. It is very similar to NARS Nana.
Cremesheen Glass is a formula that glides onto the lips easily, feels comfortable without being thin or thick, and tends to be on the sheerer side in color. It’s non-sticky (as compared to Lipglass, which is very thick and sticky), and it typically wears two hours or so on me before wearing away. They also tend to be creamier colors, rather than packed with shimmer, but that’s not quite the case here, as both Geo Pink and Natural Flare have plenty of shimmer. I’m not a big fan of the price point/quantity of these–a mere 0.08 oz., whereas lipglass contains 0.17 oz.
These definitely seem like fall colors to me, which isn't a bad thing, as this is a fall collection. It was kind of weird to see such shimmered Cremesheen Glasses, too!

MAC In the Groove Collection: Cremesheen Glasses
In the Groove launches on the 8th, and it contains six new and limited edition shades of Cremesheen Glass–a thin, non-sticky, sheer gloss. They coordinate rather obviously with the majority of the lipsticks, with the exception of Chillin’ which doesn’t quite align with any of the lipsticks from this launch.
You’ve Got It is a subtle grayish brown with multicolored shimmer, predominantly white, though. It has that same mushroom-y look as Call My Bluff lipstick, so it would pair well with that. It would also wash out any of the other brighter shades a bit, too. It’s like a lighter, non-sticky version of Chai lipglass. It’s semi-sheer on lips–it tones down my natural color a bit and makes it look rather nude/washed out almost. Definitely not very brown on lips.
On the Scene is a light orange-peach with subtle white shimmer. I know someone is going to ask me if I’m sure I didn’t mess the swatches up, but On the Scene looks incredibly similar to Fashion Whim when applied to [my] lips. I’m not even joking. I put them on side by side to make sure, and I couldn’t tell. On the Scene is just barely warmer than Fashion Whim. On the full-face, you can see the way one is warmer, one is cooler. At first, I thought it was like Ember Glow, but on lips it’s a little different.
Fashion Whim is a light peach with pale gold shimmer. This is like a pinky nude that goes on semi-opaque . It’s kind of like Creme d’Nude in lipgloss form, or else a pinker version of C-Thru lipglass. It’s a little milky on my lips, so it has a tendency to emphasize lip lines.
Chillin’ is a very light, pale cloudy blue. On lips, it really just like a milky cool-toned white with multi-colored shimmer. I think it may be nice to use to add glossiness and a bring out the cool tones of a lipstick. If you were hoping for a truer blue or something pigmented, this isn’t it.
Right Image is a neutral-yellow pink with white shimmer. It’s just a pretty medium pink that applies semi-opaque with pink and white shimmer. Even though it’s pretty, you may own something similar.
Going Casual is a cool-toned, blue-based pink with iridescent purple and white shimmer–almost leans a little purple. It has a very milky look and does settle into my lip lines.

Cremesheen Glass is a creamy, milkier kind of gloss that’s creamy without being overly thick. Cremesheen glass is vanilla-scented and a non-sticky gloss that tends to be sheerer when applied to lips. I was pleasantly surprised to see a few more pigmented shades included in the launch (and now added to the permanent range, from what I have been told), like Double Dare. These are packaged in the lengthened tube like Dazzleglass, and they don’t contain nearly as much product as traditional lipglass and lustreglass do (0.08 oz. vs. 0.17 oz.) and are $4 more.

Cremesheen Glass ($18.00)
Partial to Pink is a yellow-pink with subtle gold shimmer. On my lips, it looks like a milky baby pink with decent coverage but still a bit sheer. This is a repromoted shade.
Double Dare is a slightly toned-down creamy red with no real shimmer. Once applied, it looks like an almost coral-red with a very glossy finish. Kind of makes me think “juicy.”
Just Superb is a neutral pink that might lean just a smidgen blue-pink, but it’s fairly neutral. It looks a lot like Partial to Pink, but more muted, on my lips.
Richer, Lusher is a creamy, peach coral. Despite looking so rich when swatched on skin, once on my lips, it gives them a very light, pinky-peach look, but definitely nothing like the tube!
Fashion Scoop is a sheer, shimmered icy blue-pink. When I applied this to my lips, it gave me a paler, milkier pink lip with noticeable shimmer (this is one of the more shimmery shades of Cremesheen Glass). This is a repromoted shade.
Over Indulgence is a creamy, kind of milky, slightly warmed-up brown. Though it looks rather brown in the swatch, on my lips it’s surprisingly wearable–it’s like a muted peachy-brown on my lips.
Boy Bait is a creamy peachy nude. I know this is a favorite amongst fans of Cremesheen Glass, but it doesn’t do much on my lips — kind of a creamy look, but seems to emphasize my lip lines. This is a repromote.
Deelight is a milky, muted plum. This looks very natural on my lips, because my lips are naturally a pinked plum with a little bit of corpse thrown in.
Loud & Lovely is a brightened medium-deep pink that goes on semi-sheer–it’s not an opaque gloss (I was kind of anticipating coverage like Double Dare), but it does give more color than the average Cremesheen Glass.
