This is almost like a two-for-one kind of look, because I took photos of two [drastically] different lip combinations — the first is a deeper plummy red and the second more of a bronzy nude. I wanted to try out some of the products I’ve reviewed lately, so that’s where I tried to draw inspiration from.

If there’s a review or a product photo of one of the products I used, just click the product name and link. Let me know if you like me linking to the products this way or not — if it’s not helpful, please let me know!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying MAC Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the lid with the 249. Using the 239, apply Dolce & Gabbana Gold Eyeshadow Duo (gold) on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Dolce & Gabbana Gold Eyeshadow Duo (copper) on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with MAC Cranberry eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Next, define the crease by applying MAC Fig. 1 eyeshadow with the 226. Lightly tap and brush Dolce & Gabbana Gold Eyeshadow Duo (gold) directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep MAC Rose Blanc eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Urban Decay Zero Liner on the lower waterline and L’Oreal HIP Gold Chrome Eyeliner on the lower lash line, and then sweeping lashes with Chanel Exceptionnel mascara.

For cheeks, apply Benefit Sugarbomb to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 129.

For lips, apply Dolce & Gabbana Ruby Lipstick first, and then layer Lancome Mercury Rising Lipgloss for a bolder lip look. For a softer lip color, try Dolce & Gabbana Gold Lipstick as a base and then top with Givenchy Tender Pearl Lipgloss.

1. Go purple! Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow all over the lid as a pop of fuchsia-pink-purple. Apply a deeper purple like Parfait Amour eyeshadow on the outer lid, blending into the outer crease, with the 239. Add depth to the crease by applying a matte purple like Fig. 1 or Blackberry eyeshadow into the crease with a brush like the 219. Use a softly pinked highlighter like Hush and blend it just above the crease. Highlight the brow bone with your favorite neutral highlighter.

2. Mix in aquas and teals! Apply Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow on the inner two-thirds of the lid with an eyeshadow brusgh like the 239. Cover the outer third of the lid with an aqua shade like Aquadisiac eyeshadow with the 239. Darken the crease with a deeper teal like Shimmermoss eyeshadow or mix it up with a blue shade like Freshwater. Use Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow to diffuse color towards the brow bone, and then highlight with your favorite neutrla highlighter.

3. As an accent to gold! First, apply Goldmine eyeshadow all over the lid over a gold or white base. Apply Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow with a fluffy brush like the 224 on the outer third of the lid. Deepen crease with Nocturnelle eyeshadow applied with a crease brush like the 219. Blend thoroughly with a fluffy blending brush like the 217. Highlight with your favorite neutral highlighter.

4. With silvers! Try applying a bright silver like Fineshine or Electra eyeshadow all over the lid, and then apply Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow on the outer third of the lid and into the crease. Darken the crease with a deep purple like Parfait Amour or Contrast. Use a fluffy brush like the 224 to blend the colors together and diffuse them towards the brow. This look is from at least a week ago! I actually haven’t worn eyeshadow since this look. You can blame me for being lazy/busy; I think both may apply here and there. ;)

How are you all? I hope everyone’s doing well. I’m in the process of trying to figure out a way to better balance all of the things I need to get done so I can actually start scratching things *off* my to-do list rather than just adding to it. Any tips? ;)

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral base), Guerlain Charnel Eyeshadow (peachy-gold), Guerlain Fleuri Eyeshadow (lavender with gold shimmer), Cranberry eyeshadow (purple-cranberry), Shroom eyeshadow (highlighter), Urban Decay Ransom 24/7 Liner (purple), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Clinique Cherry Blossom Eyeshadow (soft frosty pink)
  • Lips: Guerlain Flushy Beige Lipstick (pink-beige), Guerlain Cerise Tentation Gloss (sheer pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: N/A

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Charnel eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Fleuri eyeshadow to the middle of the lid and extend to outer lid. Darken crease with Cranberry eyeshadow using the 226.
