Here is our next set of brown MAC Eyeshadow ($14.50 for 0.05 oz.) swatches! It looks like the next post will be lighter neutrals/highlighter shades.
Woodwinked is a warm, red-toned brown with a metallic shine. It has a veluxe pearl finish. It is less copper than Inglot #405. Tempting is a warmed-over chocolate brown with golden shimmer and sheen. It has a lustre finish, but it’s–quite possibly–the best lustre finish eyeshadow ever, because it doesn’t feel like one. It’s smooth, richly pigmented, and you won’t end up with all of the shimmer underneath your eye. Inglot #406 is similar, but it’s not quite as dark and has a more metallic sheen. Urban Decay Smog is similar but darker. Cork is a warm, medium-dark brown with a satin finish. Mythology is a rusty copper–like the color of a penny–with chunky shimmer-glitter. It has a lustre finish, and I find it difficult to work with, because it doesn’t have good color payoff and the chunky glitter causes a lot of fall out. Bronze is a rich, dark bronze with a warm, golden sheen. It has a frost finish. Omega is a soft taupe with a matte finish. Inglot #342 is similar, just a touch warmer and less gray. Charcoal Brown is a medium-dark, gray-tinted brown with a matte finish. Urban Decay Shakedown is similar but not quite as warm. Concrete is a dark, gray-tinged brown with cool undertones. It has a satin finish.
The most problematic shades from this set was Mythology. I didn’t have any issues with the other shades, which had good color payoff and were easy to work with. These are a lot of MAC’s long-time favorites and likely to be some of the more popular shades (yes, believe it or not, neutrals are their top sellers)–you can actually view “bestsellers” for their permanent eyeshadows, and Woodwinked, Cork, and Bronze all show up. I have found that the neutral range of mattes is a cinch to work with; they really aren’t fussy–not powdery, chalky, or poorly pigmented.
Even though MAC may be known for their brighter shades and bold looks, their shade of browns is amazing. From matte to frost to satin finishes, they work well and come in a large variety.

I thought I’d keep it simple for today Took my boyfriend and his brother drunk mini-golfing (I’m allergic to alcohol, so I’m always DD!). Kind of fun?
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I’m moving! Incredibly exciting, right? So not.
I used Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on inner half of lid, Charcoal Brown eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Satin Taupe eyeshadow on outer crease, Goldmine eyeshadow lightly on outer lid/middle of lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow bone to highlight, Urban Decay Stash 24/7 liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush with Dior Amber Diamond SkinShimmer on cheeks. I wore Fuschia Fix tinted lip conditioner with Take A Hint tendertone (LE) on lips.
