5 Must-Have MAC Coral Lipsticks

About the Temptalia Must-Haves Series

A series of posts showcasing must-have products from MAC Cosmetics’ permanent line of products. Selections are based on quality, universality, uniqueness amongst the line, and the like. Crosswires lipstick is a creamy, pinky-coral shade with a touch of sheen. It has decent color pay off, as it is a cremesheen finish.

CB96 lipstick is a shimmery, frosty coral shade with lots of gold shimmer. This is definitely a very frosty lipstick, so I tend to use a gloss to help minimize some of the frostiness.

Vegas Volt lipstick is a bright, orangey-coral shade with lots of color pay off and a super creamy finish. This is definitely named well!

Ravishing lipstick is a soft, peachy coral shade with lots of creaminess and pigmentation. It looks almost matte, with just a slight sheen to the finish.

See Sheer lipstick is a sheer, lightly coraled-pink. Despite having a lustre texture, it’s not overly sheer and does give some color to lips.

This is a look from last Friday, actually

I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Sunny Girl eyeshadow (LE) on inner lid, Velvet Moss eyeshadow on outer lid, Golden Gold eyeshadow (LE) on outer crease, Trend eyeshadow (LE) aboce crease, UD Stash 24/7 liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore Margin blush on cheeks. I had CB96 lipstick with She-Gold lipglass (LE) on my lips.

Substitutions are based on best permanent dupes available, may not be 100% dupe!

Looks – Bright Gold & Green Eye for Summer Fun

I used Golden Lemon pigment on lid, Going Bananas eyeshadow on inner lid (LE), Overgrown eyeshadow on middle of lid (LE), Wondergrass eyeshadow on outer lid and crease (LE), Overgrown eyeshadow above crease (LE), Going Bananas eyeshadow above crease (LE), Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow, Blacktrack fluidline on lower & upper lash line, and Plushblack plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Other Worldly blush (LE) with Daisydust beauty powder (PRO) on cheeks. I wore CB96 lipstick with Trifle lipglass (LE) on my lips.

** Try substituting Chrome Yellow or Nylon for Going Bananas (or Bright Sunshine, a pro color); Bitter for Overgrown (or Sour Lemon, a pro color); Swimming for Wondergrass (or Bio-Green, a pro color); Style for Other Worldly; C-Thru for Trifle.

** The blush wasn’t nearly so OTT in real life, but it’s a fairly shimmery color, so it POPS with flash photography!

If you were using MAC’s CB96 lipstick, what look would you create with it? What shadows would you use? What would you use on cheeks? Anything added to the lips?

Looks – Bright Green and Blue with Kryolan Palette #5308-SF

Using my new Kryolan stuff! Apparently the palette they gave me was exclusive to international wholesalers, but they said they are going to make a US exclusive palette once I post it (which is… now!). It is an eight color eyeshadow palette #5308-SF ($75.00). I’ve included a picture of the palette, so you can see it! All of the shadows are incredibly pigmented, and each eyeshadow is HUGE!

P.S. – Apologies for the weird looking lashes, testing a new mascara!

I used True Chartreuse pigment on all over lid, Kryolan Gold eyeshadow on inner lid, Kryolan AB23 (bright matte green) on middle of lid, Kryolan TK2 (bright matte turquoise) on outer lid, Kryolan Steel eyeshadow on outer crease, MAC Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow above crease, MAC White Tie eyeshadow on brow, Kryolan TK2 eyeshadow on outer lower lash line, Kryolan Gold eyeshadow on inner lower lash line, and Feline kohl power on lower water line. I had MAC Springsheen blush with MAC Harmony blush to contour on my cheeks. I wore MAC CB96 lipstick with MAC Vibrational lipglass.
