It’s nowhere near as frosted/metallic as Cheers My Dear, so it is more wearable across skin types, since it won’t emphasize any texture of the natural lid like a super frost can. The texture is nice; soft, finely-milled, and it applied smoothly on the skin. The real problem with this shade was it wasn’t as pigmented as the other shades–it was somewhat sheer dry and then still a bit sheer even when applied wet/damp. I typically get around eight hours of wear with MAC’s pigments and only see some slight fading (no primer).

MAC Cheers My Dear Pigment ($23.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “light lavender” with a frost finish. It’s a bright, lilac pink with a frosted, white metallic sheen. MAC Amethyst is more glittery and pinker. MAC Light Violet is purpler and chunkier. theBalm Curtain Call is much less metallic/frosted.
This shade is incredibly frosted and metallic–even when applied dry, the metallic finish is very pronounced. Anything with this much frost/metallic content can have a tendency to look crepe-y on lids, and this one definitely did some of that, but it wasn’t too noticeable, because it smoothed out well and didn’t cake up in places. Similarly, because it has a lot of reflection, it looks lighter applied than it does in the container. Cheers My Dear was rather pigmented both dry and wet, though it was pinker when applied dry. It binds together well, so it adheres better to the lid without a primer. I typically see eight hours of wear with minor fading with MAC’s pigments.
Cheers My Dear is one of the more versatile pigment shades from the launch, because it can be used on its own as a wash of color, one of several colors, or as a base for other colors.

MAC Magic Spells Pigment ($23.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “blackened teal” with a frost finish. It’s a greenish-teal-tinged black with a frosted, shimmery finish. It has a mostly matte, black base and then it has that dark green-teal shimmer/frost. Urban Decay Loaded is similar but not as black. bareMinerals Max Volume is a bit lighter and less black-based. OCC Poison is greener and lighter.
The underlying matte black base is a little chalky when it’s used dry, but it does come together better when used wet. It had a tendency to look rather black most of the time, especially the more it is blended out. I wish there was a little more teal in the overall color, because then it would appear as interesting on as it looks in the bottle. It has plenty of pigment (and some to spare!), and it was a nice touch that MAC decorated the bottle, too (unlike the nail lacquers, which just have white caps).
I didn’t get a chance to test the wear of this shade, but I have tested many MAC pigments (including two just recently that have a similar texture) in the past, and the wear is usually around eight hours with minor fading (no primer). This shade could be used wet or dry, but you’ll get more nuance out of it if you apply it damp.
It has plenty of pigment (and some to spare!), and it was a nice touch that MAC decorated the bottle, too (unlike the nail lacquers, which just have white caps).

MAC Black Poodle Pigment ($23.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “blackened pink.” It’s a matte, blue-based black base with a purple-burgundy shimmer sprinkled throughout. MAC Beauty Marked is warmer. MAC Young Punk has more purple shimmer, so it appears purpler overall. Giorgio Armani #2 has more red and purple shimmer, but it has a very deep base, too.
Used dry, the chalkiness of the matte black base comes through, but when used wet, it has a much smoother, richer appearance and holds together better. It’s finely-milled and soft to the touch, but on the skin, it is difficult to blend out, whether used dry or damp. It sticks better damp, but it can be difficult to diffuse the edges; I recommend applying the majority damp, then using a bit of it dry to diffuse. I have not had a chance to test the wear of this particular shade, but generally, pigments with this kind of texture and color wear around eight hours with minor fading (no primer).
If it's within your budget, the texture, payoff, application, and wear of Giorgio Armani #2 is better in every way--and the color is more nuanced and still manages to keep much of the nuance in its color even on the lid.

Prom Princess had good color payoff, but the texture was a little dry and powdery–workable and not too influential on the application, though. The finish of this is very, very subtle with its sheen. The sheen becomes more pronounced as you buff and blend out the color. It’s this subtle sheen that is the most beautiful part of the blush; it keeps it looking soft and natural and makes the powderiness inherent in the texture disappear. It’s very blendable on the skin–fantastic for a bolder shade like this–and it wore for seven hours well with some slight, noticeable fading after eight hours of wear.

MAC Veronica’s Blush Pearlmatte Face Powder ($30.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “silvery pink base with deep pink hearts.” The base color is a pale pink with a subtle silver sheen. The hearts are a darker pinker with a barely-there sheen. Together, they created a soft, pale pink with a silver shimmer-sheen finish–it’s a darker pink than the base alone. MAC Unconventional is more lavender. MAC Full of Joy is brighter and much purpler. NARS Gaiety is brighter, darker, and bluer-toned. Chanel Brompton Road is warmer. Illamasqua Katie is matte but similar in color.
The hearts are small enough that as a face product, it’s best used altogether. I also found the hearts were very, very low in color payoff. I really had to scrape the product off the top using a metal spatula to get any color payoff on my arm. There’s a definite effect from the color of the hearts on the overall color of the product, but it has a subtle impact. MAC suggests using it as a highlighter, blush, or an eyeshadow; as an eyeshadow, the dark pink hearts are very disappointing because of how low in pigment they are.
On the skin, it applied evenly and laid down smoothly. There was just the barest emphasis of skin texture but to such a subtle degree that the overall glowy sheen added more to the complexion than it took away. Veronica’s Blush wore well for eight hours without fading or getting patchy. The texture was very soft, smooth, and finely-milled. For a product that could have turned out really gimmicky, I think it was well-done. On my medium skin tone, it showed up as a slight tint of pink but the sheen was more pronounced–I would likely use it more as a highlighter than alone. Because of its pale white base, it may turn ashy on deeper complexions.
