Released for spring, this shade is very appropriate for the current season, but it holds plenty of brightness that it seems just as (if not more) appropriate for summer. Though it’s bright, it doesn’t turn neon, so the formula doesn’t act like a neon, either; it dries to a glossy shine. In two coats, New Money was fully opaque, and the formula was easy to work with. The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, and I didn’t have any trouble with bubbling, streaking, or the lacquer pooling along the edges of the nail. I typically get a full week of wear with very minor tip wear with L’Oreal’s Colour Riche formula.

This shade is fully opaque after two coats, but it was nearly solid in a single pass of polish! The consistency was fantastic; not too thick or too thin, but very easy to maneuver and flowed evenly across the nail. It’s not a particularly unique shade, but it is a great color to have in your stash, so if you haven’t found one like it that you love, this is a budget-friendly version that is quality all around. I typically get a full seven days (I’ve tested a few shades up to ten days with minor tip wear) of wear with very, very minor tip wear with L’Oreal’s formula. It’s one of the longer-wearing formulas I’ve come across.

The consistency isn’t too thick or too thin, and the coverage was fully opaque after two coats. I’ve been getting a full seven days with no chipping, just minor tip wear, with L’Oreal’s Colour Riche formula. This is a limited edition holiday shade, which I’ve still spotted in stores as late as last week, but I haven’t seen it available online. I think because the shimmer is smaller, it gets a little lost in the black base (it also seems grayer/more subdued in color), so I’d grab The Queen’s Ambition over this between the two.

L’Oreal The Queen’s Might Nail Lacquer ($6.69 for 0.39 fl. oz.) is a vibrant pink-red with very fine white shimmer. It’s not a true red, but it’s so much more than just a pink. SpaRitual Break of Dawn has large flecks of sparkle and glitter, so it looks quite different, even if at a glance the colors seem similar. Seche Opulent is a bit pinker and has a cream finish. OCC Extravaganza is not a dupe, but it had a similar vibe–it’s just much, much lighter.
The Queen’s Might was fully opaque after two coats. Despite a rather metallic-like shimmer and finish, there are nearly no visible brush strokes, even under the brightest of light. The consistency was fantastic; not too thick or too thin, which enabled for an easy, flawless application. L’Oreal’s formula wears really well on me: a full seven days with no chipping and very minor tip wear.
There's something about the color that reads very summer to me. It reminds me of watermelons and strawberries; there's an underlying warmth in the color that we don't often see in fall/winter reds.

The color was opaque in two coats, and the dry down time was average. It had a good consistency; not too thick or too thin, so it flowed evenly across the nail without pooling, streaking, or bubbling. There are very faint brush strokes noticeable in natural light as well as brighter light, which did apply rather straight, but they are there. I typically see a full week of wear with L’Oreals Colour Riche formula with very minor tip wear but no chipping (without a base/top coat).
P.S. — I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’m pretty sure drugstore.com has The Mystic’s Future and The Mystic’s Fortune swapped for images, but I’m not sure if you’ll get the correct color if you order by the name, so you might want to pick it up at your local drugstore, though it is currently temporarily out of stock online. I’ve checked the labels on mine half a dozen times (and I purchased both at CVS) and feel like a crazy person!
This shade is nicely pigmented with a good consistency that allowed for easy application. L'Oreal's formula is one of my favorites at this price point, as it wears quite well in my experience.

L’Oreal The Queen’s Ambition Nail Lacquer ($5.99 for 0.39 fl. oz.) is a deep, dark black with silver glitter in multiple sizes. It is very similar to Illamasqua Creator, though Creator photographers more warm-toned on me. It is also comparable to NARS Night Breed, though The Queen’s Ambition is smoother.
It’s completely opaque after two coats, but one coat was almost enough for total opacity. The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, and it applied very fluidly and evenly across the nail without bubbling, streaking, or pooling along the sides. If you couldn’t bring yourself to pay the price for Creator, this makes for a more budget-friendly version that is incredibly close. I don’t think you could tell the difference! I haven’t tested the wear of this specific shade, but I have done wear tests for six or so of L’Oreal’s Colour Riche line, and they’ve worn very well; a full week without chipping, just very minor tip wear.
