MAC Sugarsweet Lipsticks & Lipglasses Swatches

Lollipop Loving Lipstick

Here are lip swatches of Sugarsweet’s lip products! 🙂

Lipsticks?

  • Bubbles is a bit frosty, and it isn’t a creamy finish, so it can skip or leave blotches behind. It gives decent color, and ideally this is worn with other lipsticks and glosses.
  • Lollipop Loving is frosty and feels like a lustre or glaze. It’s mostly opaque, though a couple of coats will be required on more pigmented lips.
  • Saint Germain is very creamy, and the color itself is quite opaque. You can do one light swipe of the lipstick to get a more toned down version of the color, or you can use two or three coats for an application as pictured.
  • Sweet Thing is a shimmery glaze texture. It has decent color pay off, and it does brighten up lips.
  • Touch is creamy with a subtle sheen in its finish. The color is rich, and it darkens lips to a neutral tone.

Tricolour Lipglasses?

  • Consume Me is thin, non-sticky to just slightly tacky. It’s virtually colorless.
  • Just Dessert is tinged a milky pink, but it still comes out quite colorless on my lips.
  • Simply Delicious is one notch above Just Dessert–a little pinker.
  • Tasty is the pinkest, though still not rich in color.
  • Triple-Yum has the most noticeable color difference, as the gold/bronze shimmer stands out.

And thus…

Most pigmented: Lollipop Loving, Saint Germain, Sweet Thing, Touch

So-so: Bubbles, Tasty, Triple-Yum

Colorless: Consume Me, Just Dessert, Simply Delicious

MAC Sugarsweet Sneak Peek Lip Swatches

Saint Germain Lipstick

You know I had to do lip swatches, too 😉

Saint Germain lipstick came out in Euristocrats, which wasn’t a collection available stateside, so it is a treat to have it come out in a regularly available launch. It’s a pretty cool-toned lipstick; maybe a little pinker than Melrose Mood from Heatherette–the two are comparable if I’m remembering correctly.

Consume Me is a little blah, considering it’s incredibly sheer. It gives lips a glossy finish with a little bit of shimmer. For those curious about the packaging, it is very much (if not exactly like) Couture/Stylistics lipglass packaging. Even the applicator feels the same; which is a skinny doe-foot applicator that doesn’t pick up a whole lotta product. I’d say the formula of this gloss isn’t much like lipglass, because it isn’t thick at all (which may be the result of the applicator…). It also didn’t feel very sticky to me. I did try to mess up the color layers, and I didn’t succeed. You can see the color punch into the next one when you put the wand back, but the color does return to its normal layer pretty quickly. (It was kind of fun trying!)

MAC Cremeteam Cremesheen Lipsticks Lip Swatches

Lickable

Cremesheen lipsticks from Cremeteam lip swatches! 🙂 I do feel Cremesheen lipsticks to be well-pigmented, but the texture can be a little drying for some. I definitely recommend layering your lips with some balm 10-15 minutes prior (then blotting it off) so your lips take the color better. Creme In Your Coffee surprised me with how pretty it was on (I thought it might be a little on the brown side for me), and Hang Up was ridiculously dark (which means who knows when I’ll wear it!). Lickable is definitely in-ya-face in its rich color, but I’m sure it’ll be a popular one! See the colors for yourself!
