How has your weekend been so far? I spent most of yesterday photographing/swatching products, and then we had dinner at my parents’ house. Today, I have a full plate o’ editing and writing ahead of me, but I know I’ll be taking a couple breaks to watch afternoon football and play with Mellan (he just got new Christmas toys!). Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday!
Today, I’m determined to really march through my backlog of holiday palettes to review. I love all of the opportunities to save money that the holidays bring, but I’m totally overwhelmed with how many palettes I have still to review! I’m thinking I might have to roll out some quick reviews to make ‘em all happen before the holidays are gone. Any thoughts? Hope your weekend has been lovely!
Also, with the holidays right around the corner, one of my favorite places to do my holiday shopping is on Etsy! The reason being is it’s just not the usual place that people I know shop at, so I can get interesting gifts. I’m also a huge, huge supporter of local and independent shops. Though Etsy isn’t necessarily “local,” it feels a lot like shopping local. As an entrepreneur, I really appreciate the spirit and passion that goes into running a small business and doing everything you can to make your lifelong dream and passion a reality. Here are a few of my favorite shops, and you can check my favorites list for more. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear ‘em.
If you take part on daylight savings’ time, hope you’re enjoying your extra hour. I’m looking forward to a more relaxing Sunday than I’ve had in a couple of weeks–hopefully spending some quality time with my boys watching football!
Hope your weekend was a good one! I can’t believe it’s practically over already! Well, before Monday rolls around, check out some of my favorite reads/videos from the week! I love October, because there are so many insanely creative people producing content of Halloween looks and costumes!
How are you today? Has your weekend been lovely and relaxing so far? We had dinner at my parents last night, where my mom made her first attempt at sushi, along with lobster tempura (the best!) and hamachi shots (amazing!). I’m a total sucker for my mom’s food Are their any dishes that only someone in your family can do best? That you’d happily travel cross-country to taste again?
Before you go, here are some of my favorite reads from the week…
Hope your weekend has been a good one! We had dinner at my parents’ house yesterday, which was basically the equivalent of typical Thanksgiving dinner except in October. Roast turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes! Delicious, and we’ll be making some open-faced sandwiches for dinner tonight. Anyone else do Thanksgiving dinner not on Thanksgiving? I swear my parents do it three or four times a year!
