How’s your weekend been going? So far, mine has been lovely, though hectic. Yesterday, we spent the afternoon and evening at my parents’ house to celebrate Father’s Day (we postponed it by a week, as my sister graduated last weekend)… and in my family, that means with a feast in the style of Thanksgiving. Yep, that’s right–turkey, stuffing, gravy, and all the usual fixings.
Whew! It has been a really busy weekend, so I’m thrilled to be back home! We went down to southern California to watch my sister graduate from UCI and then helped her move back home. She’s going to be my personal assistant once she’s all settled!
I think the best part about Sundays is that it’s really the only day I feel like I can relax for a couple of hours. Though, this past week has been rather chaotic/hectic, so I won’t be doing as much of it as I’d like, I’ll still take a couple of hours this afternoon to play with Mellan and catch up on the TiVo.
How’s your weekend so far? I’m always curious how others spend their weekends! I’m taking my parents’ to brunch later on today, but after that, I really have to buckle down and get a lot of work done. I’ve planned out my to-do lists for the next week, so I’m really hoping to stay productive and on track! I’ll probably let Mellan plod around in his giant water bowl (aka 6′ pool) later this afternoon, too, as my afternoon break
Ahh, it is finally starting to feel like it’s really summer around here! We just need the nights to heat up a wee bit more (it’s still getting rather chilly by seven or eight in the evening). Mellan is quite pleased, because it means more time outdoors
This weekend has been insane! I think I’ve been physically home for about six hours this weekend, excluding the six hours I spent sleeping in my bed on Saturday. I’m utterly exhausted! I hope you had a fantastic weekend
