Lancome Pink Sapphire Lipstick
Lancome Pink Sapphire Lipstick

The Summer Season: Lancome Pink Sapphire Lipstick

Lancome Pink Sapphire L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich shade of slightly cooled medium pink with no shimmer, just a glossy sheen.   My favorite part about this particular shade of pink is that it’s not too cool–it’s not severely blue-based, which makes it wearable by both warm and cool skin tones with ease.  It has nearly opaque color pay off, but more importantly, it makes lips look lush, rich, and smooth.  The L’Absolu Rouge formula is silky smooth, creamy, and very moisturizing with nice wear–the more pigmented shades wearing five to six hours for me.

Is this the right pink for you? Would you wear it?

The Summer Season: Lancome Fleur de Lis Lipstick

Lancome Fleur de Lis L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a pretty shade of medium pink with soft lilac-pink shimmer and a glossy finish. It’s semi-sheer with decent color pay off, but your natural lip color will still peek through. It’s very moisturizing, creamy, and feels lovely on lips. I get about three hours of wear with this particular shade, but it fades evenly so it makes for easy reapplication.

Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick

The Spring Season: Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick

Lancome Rich Cashmere L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a softened peachy nude with subtle gold shimmer. It has a very creamy, almost milky look when applied to lips. It’s nearly opaque in color, and the shade itself is definitely a nude for me. Paired with my warmer skin tone, it doesn’t make me look corpse-ish, which is something I definitely like. I find cooler nudes can often wash out my face, but shades like Rich Cashmere give me that sexy nude lip without making me look pale.
