Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 3 Look:  Gold, Plum, Green

I told you I’d have a look for you soon! :)  I did film a tutorial for this look, and I’m hoping to have that up on Friday-ish.   Hope everyone’s having a fantastic Thursday!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Primer Potion as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Maui Wowie eyeshadow on the inner half of the lid and pull upwards along the inner crease. Lightly blend Rockstar eyeshadow on the outer half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Loaded eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid.  Blend Trench eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Rockstar eyeliner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #15 blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then lightly pat Beige Lumineux meteorites on the cheekbones, forehead, bridge of nose, and chin.

For lips, apply Naked lipstick first, and then layer Midnight Cowboy lip junkie for a complementing lip.

Quick & Easy Natural Smoky Eye

This is a super quick, super easy smoky eye that’s not too dramatic and still natural.

You will need the following…

Lightly blend Soft Brown eyeshadow on the middle of the lid with the 239 and blend into and above the crease. Blend Shroom eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Zero liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #15 Natural blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Velvet Teddy lipstick first, and then layer Nymphette lipglass for a complementing lip.

Dare to Wear Look: Yellow, Coral, Red

If there is one beauty lesson I cannot seem to learn is to remove mascara before doing a look!  Argh!  I always do this — have mascara on for some other purpose, decide to do a look, but don’t want to waste time (aka being lazy) removing mascara and then waiting for the area to dry (don’t want to apply eyeshadow base on top of remover… counterproductive!)… and then the mascara looks all clumpy and yuck at the end.  No more being lazy!

I did upper lash liner because I know some will be disappointed otherwise if they saw this look sans the liner.  I was just playing around with the combo last night anyway, so removing it after ten minutes wasn’t going to break my heart so it worked out :)  Well, except for the minor swelling this AM, lol!

You can easily pair this look with a toned down coral, pink, or even nude lip.  I went for the gusto and used Gimme That! but it’s not necessary.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Going Bananas eyeshadow on the lower half of the lid. Lightly blend Free to Be eyeshadow on the middle of the lid, horizontally, with the 239. Apply Louder, Please eyeshadow on the outer half of the crease with the 239 and lightly blend upwards.  Blend Trench eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Zero liner on the lower lash line and Blacktrack fluidline on the upper lash line with the 208. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara. Add false lashes if desired.

For cheeks, apply #15 Natural blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then lightly pat Mary Lou-manizer on the cheekbones.

For lips, apply Gimme That! lipglass for a complementing lip.

Korres #15 Natural Blush

Luminous Beauty in 3 Seconds

Korres #15 Natural Blush ($24.00 for 0.21 oz.) is OH-MY-GOODNESS gorgeousness on skin.  Ahh!  I fell in love.

If you have warm skin, you have to try it on–not just a mere swatch, but try it on cheeks.  Though, I do think it would be lovely on cooler skin tones, too — it is rather natural and neutral; not orange at all, but having warm skin myself, I immediately fell in love with once I tried it on my cheeks.  It is gives that perfect glow of natural, inner warmth that radiates from inside out in just one swipe.

The blush has a soft, smooth texture–very buttery, almost creamy despite its powder finish–and applies evenly in just a single stroke.  Cheeks are lightly flushed and sunkissed with a beautiful luminous sheen.  It’s not heavy, shimmery, or glittery in the least.  My pores aren’t emphasized, but I felt like my face just lit up the minute I applied this.

AMAZING. Korres makes a very fine, impressive blush!

Smoky Eyes:  Kat Von D Memento Mori Look

Is it really Thursday?  Already?  I can’t believe it’s July 1st!  I only have about a month left of summer (aka no school) — time flies so fast sometimes.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249, then apply Tattle Tale cream eyeshadow onto the lid as a color base. Using the 239, apply Sugar Skull eyeshadow on the inner half of the lid and pull upwards along the inner crease. Lightly blend Peggy eyeshadow on the outer half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Tijuana eyeshadow into the crease with the 226. Blend Brule eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone.   Lightly tap Sugar Skull eyeshadow along the upper crease and then soften.  Bring everything together by applying Black Metal Love pencil on the lower lash line and Sugar Skull eyeshadow patted below. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #15 Natural blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Indecent lipstick first, and then layer Midnight Cowboy lip junkie for a complementing lip.
