Jennifer Lopez @ 2011 Golden Globe Awards
Jennifer Lopez with a sleek evening ponytail, gray smoky eyes, and a fair amount of bling! I love the way the inner highlight looks from afar.

I love her makeup! It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but I still love how it looks on her.
“Based on her dress, I wanted to create an ethereal movie-star look. I kept the cheekbones high and highlighted with the NARS Enchanted Cream Blush for a soft and supportive look.” –Matthew Vanleeuween for NARS Cosmetics
Jennifer Lopez wore the following products to achieve a soft, yet radiant look:
Jennifer Lopez was dazzling on the Oscar red carpet, wearing a beautiful Armani Prive dress, accented by an elegantly texturized updo created by master stylist Robert Vetica. The look was very modern and sophisticated.
To create the style, Vetica started by applying Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream on wet hair to create smoothness and shine. After blowdrying hair straight he sectioned hair off and created two ponytails, an inch apart, one on top of the other to create volume below the crown of the head.
Next, Vetica used a curling iron on each ponytail to create texture, and then brushed them out for width and volume. After creating the shape of the updo, he strategically pulled out stands throughout the look to create a modern textured effect using flyaways around the forehead to further soften. He then finished with new argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Luminous Hair Spray.

Love the shoes, and I like the look from afar! Her hair looks rather short for her, but maybe it’s just because of the waves.

Amazing celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves styled Jennifer Lopez’s hair for the VMAs, and here’s what he said about his inspiration…
“I wanted to pull her hair back in the front for a clean, modern look with a bit of edge and texture. So, I did a modern yet retro take on the ponytail to go with her Louis Vuitton dress.
First, I pulled the hair together and secured it with a hooked elastic band before braiding it. I created a long braid down to the middle of her back, braiding the hair not totally air-dried to allow it to set. I braided it all the way to the bottom, smoothing my Ken Paves Healthy Hair Shine Serum ($30, ULTA) with the intention of partially unbraiding it. I hit it with my Ken Paves Professional Hair-Dryer ($100: ULTA) to dry and set it.
Just before she left, I added a Blax elastic 4 inches down from the top of the ponytail base to old the braid and then unbraided the rest of it for a great textured look.
This is an edgy, modern way to pulling hair tightly back –the braided pony base gives lift from the head and a sleek vibe combined with the explosion of texture in the pony! She loved it, and so did I.”

I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Jennifer Lopez. She’s just so beautiful, and I’ve always been a fan of her music and movies. (The Wedding Planner anyone?!) I think she looks gorgeous here, at least makeup-wise. Not lovin’ the dress or the shoes, but those legs are glam for sure.
