These are my top ten powder eyeshadows (I say that, because there were a few cream eyeshadows I thought about including, but there were so many powder ones I wanted to include, too!). I’m not going to do a breakout for cream eyeshadows specifically, but know that Milani’s Shadow Eyez and Maybelline Color Tattoos would be taking honors on that list! There were numerous L’Oreal Infallible and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense shades to choose from, too, so I went with my personal shade favorites.
When I think of the ocean, I think of blue, green, and teal all merged into one. Depending on the depth and clarity of the water, you might a really smoldering blue, maybe something closer to blackened blue, and at other times, a beautiful translucent aqua blue. I could have easily chosen five more shades for this topic, LOL! There were so many amazing shades to choose from.
Another newly released shade, Burst has insane, intense color payoff! I’m loving how top-notch these new shades from Illamasqua have been. Not a dud yet! The texture is soft and smooth, but it never becomes powdery against the skin or during application. It adhered well to the naked lid; it wore about eight hours without fading or creasing. What I liked about it was that it was easily blendable over bare lids or over an eyeshadow primer. I think this is an interesting shade of blue/teal, because it’s not really either of those, but it’s not quite a mix either! It’s more muted than full-on blue eyeshadow, but there’s not enough green in it to constitute a true teal either.
