Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (501) Eyeshadow Palette

Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (501) Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.25 oz.) is described as “mauve, violet, white, and purple.” It’s a mix of purples, really, with varying finishes from iridescent to frosted to satin (no mattes here, though). I wore the lightest shade as an inner corner highlight, then used the mauve shade on the inner half of the lid with the lavender shade on the outer half of the lid, and used the darkest purple shade to define the crease.

Guerlain Les Fauves L’Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette

Guerlain Les Fauves L’Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.25 oz.) is new (and permanent!) for fall and will debut at Guerlain counters and retailers in August (though I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw it pop up in the next week or two). This is a very warm-toned palette with distinct orange/red undertones. The one thing I’ve noticed across fall palettes this season is that the colors within them are very similar to each other.

Guerlain Les Gris Eyeshadow Palette

Guerlain Les Gris Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.25 oz.) consists of four eyeshadows that center around a cool-toned, gray theme.  Guerlain’s eyeshadow formula doesn’t always hit all the bells and whistles for me, even though their color selections are rarely off.  The textures of these shades are soft, smooth, and decadent, but the payoff could be a little more intense.  Without a primer, these wear for around eight hours with just slight creasing, and with a primer, there’s no creasing even after twelve hours.

Guerlain Les Aquas Eyeshadow Palette

Guerlain Les Aquas Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.25 oz.) is an upcoming new and permanent quad that features an “iridescent blue, matte navy, velvety turquoise, and glacier metallic blue.” This is one of the better eyeshadow quads I’ve tested from Guerlain since they reformulated and relaunched their eyeshadow range, so it was a welcome surprise. The pigmentation is good across the board, and it applies easily. I did find that without a primer, there was some fading after eight hours, but over a primer, it was fine.
