5 Rich Copper Eyeshadows

Not orange, not brown, but some kind of magical mix of the two with a little bronze thrown in.  Copper is typically accompanied by a more frosted and/or metallic finish.  It’s nearly always very, very warm in undertone, but if you need to cool down, try pairing it with a violet or blue.

  1. Make Up For Ever #12 — creamy, rich copper with a metallic finish
  2. NARS Isolde — two shades of coppery browns
  3. MAC Amber Lights — rich, metallic copper with a strong golden-copper shimmer
  4. Giorgio Armani #5 — darkened coppery brown with a metallic finish
  5. Inglot #405 — metallic copper

What’s your favorite copper eyeshadow?

More Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow with #5

Giorgio Armani Gold Blitz (5) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a metallic, warm-toned bronze with subtle red undertones.  It’s probably one of the least exciting shades in the Eyes to Kill Intense line-up, because it doesn’t have the multi-colored look.  The color is gorgeous, but I could see this being a shade that’s more passable than the others, just because it’s a shade that most brands have some variation of.  On the flip side, it’s one of the best, in terms of quality.

It has the same rich color pay off whether used dry or wet, though it seems to be a touch darker when applied damp.  The texture is soft, smooth, and really silky–almost like a cream eyeshadow–but in reality, it’s a loosely bound powder.  I like using it alone or along with other eyeshadows, but it can be worn alone and held up for twelve hours without creasing on me (without a base).

The Glossover

Even though it's one of the less unique/more passable shades in the range, it is has such an amazing texture and looks as good dry as it does wet.
