Edward Bess Secret Affair Blush Extraordinaire
Edward Bess Secret Affair Blush Extraordinaire ($43.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “soft peach.” It’s a warm-toned, pink-tinged coral with a gold shimmer. Tom Ford Flush is slightly less pink, less shimmer. theBalm Don’t You Want Me is lighter. theBalm Frat Boy is pinker. Burberry Hibiscus is warmer. NARS Deep Throat is similar but more shimmered. MAC Supercontinental is slightly lighter. MAC Fleet Fast is darker. MAC Flaming Chic is pinker. Dior Pink Glow is more orange. Chanel Fleur de Lotus is more shimmery. Burberry Blossom is warmer. See comparison swatches.
Secret Affair has good color payoff that is buildable and blendable, so you can adjust the intensity depending on your preference and what suits a particular eye/lip combination. The texture is soft, very finely-milled, and smooth. It has a light golden shimmer that buffs into a very luminous sheen the more you blend it into the skin. It did not emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture. It lasted eight hours well on me and had some minor, but noticeable, fading after nine hours of wear.
|It's a great coral shade that leans warmer and more orange than it does pink, though there is some pink tint to the color overall. There's a light shimmer that works well to give it a glowy sheen. It is a more common shade, so it may not be worth the splurge.|
