You will need the following…

Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), MAC Lucky Green Eyeshadow (yellowy green), MAC Bio Green Eyeshadow (grass green), MAC Humid Eyeshadow (dark green), MAC Sour Lemon Eyeshadow (chartreuse), MAC Gorgeous Gold Eyeshadow (gold with green), MAC Orb Eyeshadow (highlighter), Make Up For Ever #17L Aqua Eyes (chartreuse), MAC Black Black Chromagraphic Pencil (black), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)

Fun Makeup: Pop of Chartreuse

I wanted to do a chartreuse look… but I also wanted to do more of an olive green… so this is what I ended up with!

You will need the following…

Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), MAC Lucky Green Eyeshadow (yellowy green), MAC Bio Green Eyeshadow (grass green), MAC Humid Eyeshadow (dark green), MAC Sour Lemon Eyeshadow (chartreuse), MAC Gorgeous Gold Eyeshadow (gold with green), MAC Orb Eyeshadow (highlighter), Make Up For Ever #17L Aqua Eyes (chartreuse), MAC Black Black Chromagraphic Pencil (black), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
Cheeks: Le Metier de Beaute Traviata Blushing Bronzed Duet (Echo, coral-pink / Sun Kissed, bronze)
Lips: MAC See Sheer Lipstick (pink-coral), Dior Satin Peach Ultra Gloss (sheer peach-pink)
Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
Substitutes:

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Lucky Green eyeshadow on the inner two-thirds of the lid. Lightly blend Bio Green eyeshadiw on the outer third of the id and into the lower crease with the 239. Next, apply Humid eyeshadow in the outer crease with the 226, lightly blending with the outer lid. With the 217, light blend Sour Lemon eyeshadow on the inner tearduct and along the crease. Blend Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow lightly above the crease with the 239. Highlight the brow bone with Orb eyeshadow with the 239. Bring everything together by applying #17L aqua eyes on the lower lash line, and then pat Sour Lemon eyeshadow along the inner two-thirds with the 219; then Humid eyeshadow on the outer third of the lower lash line to darken. Line the lower waterline with Black Black pencil. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Echo blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then lightly pat Sun Kissed bronzer on the top of cheekbones.

For lips, apply See Sheer lipstick first, and then layer Satin Peach ultra gloss for a complementing lip.

Dior Ultra Gloss in Little Red Dress, Twin Set Pink, & Satin Peach

Today, I’ve got three more shades of Dior Ultra Gloss ($26.50 for 0.21 oz.) to show you! I reviewed these in full detail here, but to recap:

PROS: Non-sticky, moisturizing, glossy, dazzling shimmer (not gritty glitter)
CONS: Lasts less than two hours, so you’ll need to reapply

For the most part, Ultra Glosses definitely run on the sheerer side, but Little Red Dress is much more pigmented than the other six shades I’ve tried. Satin Peach is a better version of NARS’ Orgasm lipgloss in my opinion, as it’s more moisturizing with a glossier finish.

Little Red Dress (856) is a brightened, cherry red with golden shimmer. It’s nearly opaque on my lips, and it’s impressively opaque for a lipgloss.
Twin Set Pink (157) is a semi-sheer champagne-nude with champagne and gold micro-shimmer.
Satin Peach (236) is a sheer milky beige with a slight pinkyness to it and golden-peach micro-shimmer.

Recommendation: If love sheer, non-sticky lipgloss, Dior Ultra Gloss is exactly that. And if you don’t mind reapplying every two hours or so, I think you’d really like these.

Five Minute Looks: Green & Greener

I was in a rush yesterday, but I wanted to play with some new makeup–I was desperate to do a look with YSL’s Slate Green. The nearest to it was MAC’s Sweet & Punchy and my new Make Up Forever Aqua Creams… and thus, this look was created! Lashes are a lil’ funky, because I applied Barelash mascara on ‘em about an hour prior.

You will need the following…

Eyes: Make Up For Ever #13 Aqua Cream (warm beige base), MAC Sweet & Punchy Eyeshadow (chartreuse), YSL #5 Slate Green Eyeshadow (dark forest green), MAC Grain Eyeshadow (highlight), MAC Black Black Chromagraphic Pencil (black), MAC Opulash Mascara (black)
Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
Cheeks: Make Up For Ever #5 Aqua Cream (peachy-pink)
Lips: Make Up For Ever #5 Aqua Cream (peachy-pink), Dior Satin Peach Ultra Gloss (peach)
Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 130 (dense stippling brush)
Substitutes: Sweet & Punchy = Sour Lemon

For eyes, start by applying #13 aqua cream as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow on the lower lid. Next, apply #5 Slate Green eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending outwards and onto the outer lid. Blend Grain eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Black Black pencil on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Opulash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #5 aqua cream to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 130.

For lips, apply #5 aqua cream first, and then layer Satin Peach ultra gloss for a complementing lip.
