Dior Lame Gold (424) Dior Addict Ultra Gloss
For Fans of Sheer, Lightly-Shimmered Gloss
Dior Lame Gold (424) Dior Addict Ultra Gloss ($24.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a warm wash of goldenrod with gold and copper shimmer and sparkle. It is mostly a clear gloss base with a dose of shimmer. Le Metier de Beaute orange Juiced is somewhat similar but has less sparkle. MAC Rising Sun has more color in its base.
The formula is described as “delivering a sheer wash of catwalk color” while being hydrating and highly reflective. It’s a new and limited shade for the holidays, and I suspect this shade is best for layering over red and berry-hued lipsticks to add a little shimmer and warmth. It’s a wash of color/shimmer, and the finish is extremely glossy and shiny. Lame Gold wore for three hours, which was surprising, because of the sheerness.
It comes with a brush-type applicator in a clear, square tube. The consistency is thick without being gloppy, heavy, or sticky. It has an almost gel-like, cushion-y feel on the lips. It was lightly moisturizing when I wore it back-to-back for six hours. After two hours, I did notice a very slight grit from the glitter/sparkle, but it wasn’t overly noticeable.
