The texture of the Diorific range is really incredible; creamy enough not to tug or pull at the lips during application but not so creamy that it slips and slides around. I didn’t experience any feathering or bleeding of the color while I wore it for eight hours. It feels comfortable, lightweight, and hydrating when worn. There’s a light floral scent that I can detect in the tube, but I don’t notice it when it is on my lips. The color payoff is exactly as marketed: super rich and saturated.

This formula is supposed to be long-wearing with rich color payoff delivered in a single pass. Lady is incredibly pigmented and yields opaque color coverage in one pass, just as advertised. The texture is creamy enough to enable the lipstick to glide across lips without tugging or dragging, but it doesn’t feel heavy or slide over itself once it is applied. When I tried Lady, it lasted for eight hours, and my lips felt lightly hydrated even after that time period. Like other Dior lipsticks, this does have a light floral scent.

The formula is described as “delivering a sheer wash of catwalk color” while being hydrating and highly reflective. This is the other new and limited edition color for the holidays, and it’s much more pigmented than Lame Gold. This has semi-opaque color coverage; there’s a noticeable translucency to the overall color, but there is quite a bit of pigmentation packed into the tube. It’s definitely more color than a “sheer wash of … color.” So, that gain might be your gain, or it might be a deal-breaker depending on your preference in opacity for gloss!
The texture of Dior’s Ultra Glosses is really lovely and comfortable to apply and wear. It’s not thin, but it’s not heavy either; it feels cushion-y and gel-like on the lips. When I tested Ceremony Red, it wore for four hours, and it was nicely hydrating during that period. It’s also non-sticky, and the brush applicator doesn’t leave streaks behind.
If you're looking for a more opaque red gloss but don't want anything that's fully opaque, you might like Ceremony Red, which still offers some translucency but doesn't skimp on the color.

It’s full formula name is “Rouge Haute Couleur Longue Tenue” or “Long-Wearing True Color Lipstick.” Diva is rich in pigment and applies with full color coverage with one pass. The texture is just creamy enough to enable good glide across the lips without pulling or tugging, but it doesn’t move around on the lips and almost feels like a matte lipstick. This particular shade lasted nearly eight hours, and while it wore for hours, it did not dry my lips out at all. It has a lightly floral scent.

The formula is described as “delivering a sheer wash of catwalk color” while being hydrating and highly reflective. It’s a new and limited shade for the holidays, and I suspect this shade is best for layering over red and berry-hued lipsticks to add a little shimmer and warmth. It’s a wash of color/shimmer, and the finish is extremely glossy and shiny. Lame Gold wore for three hours, which was surprising, because of the sheerness.
It comes with a brush-type applicator in a clear, square tube. The consistency is thick without being gloppy, heavy, or sticky. It has an almost gel-like, cushion-y feel on the lips. It was lightly moisturizing when I wore it back-to-back for six hours. After two hours, I did notice a very slight grit from the glitter/sparkle, but it wasn’t overly noticeable.
You have to love the formula and be willing to pay for that for a sheer gloss, because sheer glosses, while they have their place and are great for layering, are easier to dupe at all price points.

It’s full formula name is “Rouge Haute Couleur Longue Tenue” or “Long-Wearing True Color Lipstick.” Both are very true; this is a highly pigmented, long-wearing lipstick that feels as good as it looks. Diorling wore for seven hours on me with residual staining getting me to eight hours without feeling compelled to reapply. It will last through drinking and a light meal as well. It’s lightly moisturizing, so my lips didn’t feel parched after I removed it. The color itself was fully opaque and very little product was needed to achieve full color coverage. It had a creamy, glide-on consistency that didn’t tug or pull at lips and deposited color evenly. Diorling is one of four shades for the holidays and is packaged in limited edition, vintage gold packaging.
